Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

godaddy is pretty perisistent. i reg'd a domain and they called three times in the past 2 days to say "HI THANKS FOR BUYING A DOMAIN!!!" just answered a few minutes ago to see why the hell some 480 number has been calling..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why the hell did you use godaddy? They are scum.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

for a domain? its cheap. hostgator will get my money for hosting if i actually do commit make a site...
they supported that last horrible internet bill and a few others, and consistently act like shitbags. I refuse to do business with them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

they reversed their stance on SOPA, idk wtf they did with the latest one.
they never would have if people hadn't screamed at them. It was less that they decided it was evil and more "guys, please stop punching us in the wallet, ok? please?"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris did you use angle iron to weld to the inside/top of the frame rails on your XJ?

Seems like it would give me somethign better to weld to. Plus I blasted off the pinch seam in my fit of rage over my floor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

seems decent/good to me. flywheel/PP included as well?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so... the internets are telling me not to simply run bolts for my highsteer arms.

the arms i have are originally intended for bolts, not studs with a 60 degree conical nut to help prevent loosening.

its another 56 bucks, plus a countersink to do it the "best" way.

i think 56 bucks plus a new tool is worth the peace of mind and my safety.

I guess i have one question. How many people are running around with highsteer arms simply bolted down without issue?

I ordered a reamer friday if you want to save some money and use mine when it comes in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, any idea when you're getting that set of alignment pucks and bar for narrowing housings, or are you going to? I've got two rear 60s here that are giving me ideas.

I've gotta track down somewhere local that can get the bar stock then have it cut, ground, and polished. I'll probably just order the pucks from somebody off Pirate. I could order the bar too, but shipping would get pricey and I dont want it to get messed up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Any idea when you're gonna get that done? I'm starting to get the build bug again and I have most of the parts I need. The $250 I just got for that axle is probably gonna pay for the rest of the metal I need for my frame.

A couple of my friends recommended a shop in Somers CT for the job, if it's cheap enough I'll probably just have them do it, else I'll be harassing you :eyes:

Apparently having Moser cut new splines on shafts I send them is like 110-150 bucks. If I can't find a narrow enough stock axle I can scrounge at the yard, definitely going with that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If its cheap enough, have a shop do it. What about that place Mitchell Differential or something in MA? Ive heard they do axle work and shaft resplining. Also, I believe Dutchman is cheaper then Moser for resplines too.
