THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Summit sent my brother the 26 spline pinion instead of the 10-spline pinion for the 8.75.

Luckily we had a yoke with the same size u-joint for the 26 spline pinion in stock.

Righteous. How'd the harness bar turnout?

I'm going to be helping my brother gear his third member tonight and tomorrow night probably.

Going to finish final welding/painting of the cooling system on my day off Friday. Saturday I'll probably slightly clearance my middle crossmember and finish welding the LCA brackets/paint that whole deal.

Hoping to have the mockup 440 out either this weekend or early next week.

Travis, did you say you were gunna order the tubing this week and hope to have it by this weekend? That would be tits if you did, I plan on being up your way this weekend and can grab it. Colin, did you end up getting some too and would you like me to bring it back with me?

perfect. i was gonna go with one bend for the b-pillar to KISS but got pressured into making another to contour the interior better and i'm happy i did. left a good amount of room behind from where i sit in the stock seat to shove some real seats in there one day, and the harness bar is right above my shoulders so a good height to drop the harness strap things on the underside of the bar. still gotta tie the bottom of the pillars into the floor with the ruffstuff bracket things. they're in such a shitty spot though, right next to the factory drain plugs so metal isnt in the greatest shape. should be fine for now though, and i'm gonna add a piece underneath to tie it all into the rockers and framerails. carpet will come up and i'll be doing patchwork after this wheeling season is over, theres a few quarter size spots here and there i want to get rid of before they start to get bad. i took a bunch of pics, i'll post em tonight.

get that 440 going! i want to see a video of it running, then stalling out when he try and climb a small rock.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If it isn't too late put me down for 50 feet. And a stick of (iirc) 2x0.25 for control arms, whatever fits rs 1.25 heim weld sleeves.

Yeah it's always rewarding taking a little extra time to make it nice. I did the same on my cage and the extra work paid off (aka I personally think it looks slick).

I'm hoping to be breaking the engine in May 19th or hopefully earlier, we'll see.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sweet. cutting it close though! does anyone know the name of the vendor on pirate who does custom CNC stuff? few friends and i want to get custom gussets made.

Yeah but once the engine is broken in there won't be much to do in order to get it wheeling.

Basically engine accessories, dash/console/harness mounts, and then megasquirt the engine. Plus a small bit of wiring in there too (electric fans, starter, winch).

Anything after that is gravy, aka shifters, redo front limit straps, front tubework, etc.

I think it's AgitatedPancake that does it.

Dunno about pirate but I am pretty sure webdog on here does that.
