THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the first one I was looking for was a blower motor resistor that has been nationally discontinued...was a Standard Motor Products part, EVERYONE is out of it. Ended up getting a used one.

The latest was one you most likely will not find. Was a shift knob insert for a T18 from 1980+. All the aftermarkets say 1,2,3,4,R...supposed to say L,1,2,3,R for those, just one of those things that bothers me because when people drive my truck, they say, wow first gear grinds and is pointless to use on the street...no crap, non synchro, granny low.

Thanks! I'd order one now if it didn't have their name branded on the top. Wonder if that's just so the image doesn't get copied, or if they are on each one.

Eileen. Great girl, still friends. I'm talking to her at the local bar, having a great conversation, and Freebird comes on the jukebox.

"Hey cool. Freebird. You like Skynyrd at all?"

"Uh, my best friend got raped while this song was playing."

...

Right. Got nothin.

Funny how things come back around again.

I was at the bar last night and discovered that they now have the whole Beatles catalog on the jukebox. Cool. So I played a few songs and wandered outside, just as this girl Eileen was coming back inside. I've seen her maybe a handful of times in the last few years, just kinda hey, how's it going. Turns out she heard the Beatles playing on the jukebox and came inside to see how that was happening, because up til very recently you could never find any of their stuff. So we went over to the jukebox again and played a bunch more songs, then ended up talking for almost 4 hours.

Turns out she just got dumped a week ago by her boyfriend of 3 years, via a phone call, on the last day of a vacation with her sister in Australia. What a way to end it, huh.

So nothing definite happened, but after I walked her to her car, we agreed that we'd had a really nice time and should do it again soon. And that she hopes I'm around next time she goes out.

She's pretty hot, too.

Let's see how I can manage to screw this one up. :)

Thanks Sam! I now own a piece of the legend.

Which brings me to my next issue, I need a rear driveshaft that's long enough for the ZJ with the SYE. It needs to be ~39" with the Jeep at ride height. Anyone have any ideas for a JY bolt in? I could order a custom one from Tom Woods, or Carolina Driveshaft, but I'd like to save some money if I can. I was also thinking of getting a front ZJ shaft I have laying around retubed, anyone know where around here does that?

I'm betting she rebounds on you and you get emotionally involved.

mitchell drivetrain service on rt20 in shrewsbury shortened, rebalanced, and installed a new ujoint in my front shaft for under 150 iirc. Probably would cost more since you'd need to get it retubed instead of just cut down, but they did a good job, I just wish I'd given them a shaft with a better slip joint to start with. It ended up with a completely wrecked slip joint within 6 months.
