THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken, the new jeep is at Bradleys house. go check it out.

What are you looking for?
I actually did. He was a little confused when a dodge 2500 with a plow on it pulled into his driveway.

It looks pretty decent, though I didn't crawl underneath to look at the frame. Still down for a swap?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken are you being sarcastic?

There is no aluminum case nv4500. That would be an nv3500 and I don't think they came in 2500s
maybe I'm retarded.

I know it has an iron case (per the seller, and he knows officer songy, so he can't be a bad guy!), and that it's in this truck. I checked wikipedia and it says it would be a 4500.

There is a distinct possibility that I am talking out my ass here.

edit: yes I am retarded. It is a 4500, 23 spline output, blah blah blah, and all of them are cast iron.

So I haven't run dual monitors at all recently.

Do any of you folks know of a program or setting that would make it so I have to double tap my mouse on the side of the screen in order to move to the 2nd screen? I know that Synergy has that option (double tap to change screens) but that's only for controlling multiple computers.

The problem is that my left monitor is the primary screen and the right monitor is the secondary screen. I have the habit of just swiping my mouse to the top right side of the screen and clicking to close a window... now my mouse just goes onto the 2nd monitor instead of closing the window. I'd prefer to have to double tap to scroll to my 2nd monitor.

Edit: This is on Win7.

break the habit?

I have 5 monitors and no problem with that. The only problem I have is *finding* my damn mouse pointer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah i could go with break the habit but i do like the double tap to change screens away and would like to find a way to get it working regardless of my "habits".

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Its a 151? If you pass on it let me lnow, i will take it. Just look at it caegilly, most of 5hemthe were cut into quarters by the gov and as i'm sure you know not everyone is capable of welding something like that properly. You can also all but give up pn the hopes of ever regestering it, they were deemed unsafe for civilian use, and ot takes a lot of work to get one past dmv.

This isn't one, someone asked which jeeps had the horizontal slots in the grill

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Put together my new shafts, forgot all the snap rings. I'm catching up to Mark at not being able to work on Jeeps
When I read this yesterday I immediately thought to myself: "Sucks that he did that, but now I won't forget to install them tomorrow when I assemble mine." Well I'm an idiot because I still forgot one of them. To make things worse, when I pushed out the cap with no snap ring, I pushed the opposite side cap all the way through the yoke and couldn't get the damn thing to line back up straight. Ended up sacrificing a crappy Advanced Auto brand equivalent that I had for a cheap trail spare. Used one of the caps to push the good one back into position properly and then yanked the junk one out with a pair of vise grips.:doh:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Question for you dirtbike guys....

I'm looking to get a bike this spring/summer in the 125-150cc range. I'm most likely going to buy something 4-6 years old from a local dealer. What bikes do you guys recommend? I'm going to go with one of the major brands like Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda or maybe Suzuki. Anyone have experience with one being a better choice than the others? For reference I'm 5'8", ~150lbs and relatively new to riding. Thanks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

going to check it out tomorrow, it's either a 46 or 49, no vin plates or paperwork, floors are shot, figured with a 70 year old jeep but engine was rebuilt before it parked 12 years ago and everything spins, shifts, we'll see

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Kawi and Suzuki are the same bikes...

Is this a bad thing? From what I've seen Kawasaki makes a reliable bike, my aunt's is a '74 and it still looks, runs and rides great. Not arguing, just wondering.
But I recommend the Honda CRF250F

I don't really want a bike that big, at least not now. I'd rather have something light to throw around the trails than something that fought me all day.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I've owned quite a few Suzuki's(own one now too), my cousin used to race Kawi's, but I prefer Honda over the Kawazuki's. and my cousin even races Honda now. Honda has a CRF150 as well which could be a good thing and even a 230. You really can't go wrong with those three brands, but personally I've always been left less than impressed by Yamaha.

Thanks for the input, it's always nice to get an opinion from someone who rides as opposed to a salesman who wants the most $$$. Do you think it's worth it to buy new, or am I just wasting money because it'll lose value fast?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Buy used. Nobody has money right now so you can find deals on craigslist. New is nice to know it hasn't been beat on, but they're resilient bastards.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And if you get lucky you can find some fool who financed their toys and is now hurting bad and trying to get cash any way they can.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken what Mjs does eagle have and how much

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He has a longbed 2wd 5spd with a locked up trans for 250, I was gonna buy it but almost certainly trading with billy at this point after I figure out the gas tank 3 ring circus we have going

Vin plates are easy, the numbers were hand stamped, so you can get repro plates and stamp your own. Sounds like it could be a good one to pick up cheap. I have 3to of them, so if you have any questions just ask
