If I buy a longbed off Eagle the blue one will be going up for sale, it's got your name on it if so.

I have a customer with a 2wd mj that claims 27 mpg.
I hit 23mpg summer '10 NACFest with 3/4 ton of assorted jeep shit in the back. Odometer verified, topped off tank to topped off tank, 225 tires, 3.55 gears, 220k mile original unrebuilt AW4, 220k mile original unrebuilt 4.0 with no oil in it.

If it wasn't a 2 hour commute maybe. I only do stuff in the eastern side of CT, jobs should come to me :D

Although its tough to get, I dont really doubt it. I got 26.6mpg coming back from my first rocktoberfest trip in red jeep, AX15, 3.55's, stock 225/75/15's. Even though it would seem a little overgeared, the jeep pulled much more effiecently and required less foot-in-throttle to move.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This one is a 4wd, so considerably more weight to move, he's asking 2600 without saying mileage but is the second owner of it, looks super clean

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone know the good/bad with the slushomatics behing the Hemi 2500 rams?

oh man that's tempting. I almost moved down that way for a job 3 years ago... too bad I want to move the opposite direction now. Still tempting to put an application in and see what happens.

Speaking of compliments. I held the door for a bunch of people leaving the packie tonight. The first couple out the door (early to mid thirties) stopped to look at my Jeep and and were discussing how "awesome" my Jeep was ("oh man, now THIS is a cool Jeep!", etc). I was amused. I then managed to drive over some curbs when I was leaving.

So you're saying you have no excuse to not show up for wheeling Sunday? :moon:

I'm going to try and show up.... I just have to make sure I can wheel and then keep DD'ing it for a couple weeks.

Doesn't change the fact that I'm glad we're meeting at 10 so I can leave a 7 and take back roads the entire way there. Hopefully swapping my newer hubs on and re-reaming the knuckle will mean I don't HAVE to take back roads... but I'm ready to if need be.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

As long as you don't break the unibody I probably have at least two of any part you could need sitting in my yard 7 miles from the trail. Don't sweat it too much.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just real glad that I have Monday off afterward. Really hoping that I still have all the bolts to re-install my front drive shaft and that my buddy didn't sweep them up.

Otherwise I might need some of those from one of your parts jeeps if it's not a problem.

Speaking of which, you don't happen to have an extra auto XJ front driveshaft, do you? I'm still looking for a ZJ shaft to install my SYE T-case but figure I might try an auto XJ shaft for now.

I know I have at least a few spare front driveshaft bolts around. I usually keep some in the trail kit, too.

The parts jeeps aren't mine - you have to negotiate prices with their owners :spin1: but I have a pretty good collection of junk as well.

I have a few front shafts lying around but they are planned for stuff - I need to convert one into a spare front shaft (need to cut it down 1.5"), need to convert another into a rear shaft when I do my SYE, and another needs to go into the 98 because its front shaft is junk.

ah. alright.

I bought new U-bolt straps for the axle end but I'm worried someone "cleaned up" my t-case end bolts.

Hopefully I'll get the hub swapped and the knuckle checked out tomorrow night and I can spend Saturday looking for bolts at my buddy's place (and then I won't need to steal bolts).

I'm gonna start throwing some applications to places in the city. On one hand it sucks but on the other ill be able to get a job doing something I want to do, using my media degree, I'll give the vw back early, and be able to get a sweet apt in Brooklyn for cheap.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

got a couple aunts and a cousin that live in brooklyn, i can walk 2 blocks from the apt and be completly lost, i dislike the city

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't mind the city too much. I considered getting an apartment (or condo) in Boston but then I realized I liked having space for at least a couple cars and bikes and there was no chance of that in the city.
