one time i was in pennsylvania watching someone from jersey pump thier gas.
She is doing everything alright, has the auto-set on. the issue is when she went to take it out of her tank and held down on the handle. gas spewing all over the place the goes to put it in the pump hoping that would turn it off, nope, it keeps spewing everywhere, so she grabs it again and puts it back in her car and looks around hoping nobody saw what just happened. She then tries to take it out again, and the same thing happens, gas everywhere. so she jams it back in her car and waits for it to fill up and turn off on its own.

See if the dumb nanny states didn't do everything for her she would have known what the heck to do and not create a fire hazard for everyone.

Sometimes your gas runs low and the next gas station you see is full service. Not going to risk going empty to feel self fulfilled.

Technically that law only applies to gasoline, not diesel. But usually it's not worth trying to explain that to the guy who doesn't speak english as he's prying the diesel pump from your hands.
I ionly frequent a few stations and they know me & my truck, and they usually just let me do my own thing.
