Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

OK Zoolander...ill just only turn right.
Very true.bungee cords ftw
When I put my dad's wrangler back together, haven't not even touched the steering wheel or taken the turn signal off, when I got it back together it just stopped working. Took it apart and it works fine still.FINE.
Brought my rotors and grease inside so I can build the outers in my warm basement, dropped the rotor on the floor and bent the hub. Fun stuff!arty:
sucks. I can probably grab you one for like 10 or 20 bucks next weekend. Remind me, ill bring it to nyc next week.so after work today i slapped the PS line on the jeep and bled it, i must have knocked the steering shaft when there was nothing connected to it bc now i airbag light is on and my turn signal wont signal left. XXXXed the clockspring didnt i? also, my impact took a dump and i couldnt get the pitman arm on or swap wheels. but i went to home depot and they took my beat up 4 year old husky pro impact and gave me a new one no questions asked.
clocksprings on xjs are a mix. 95/96 ones have a slip ring contact for the horn, and if they are a cruise equipped one also have a coiled up ribbon cable for the cruise wiring, it tears off at one end if you turn the wheel too far one way by putting the steering shaft in with the box and/or clockspring not centered.Well then, it sounds like you have a bad clock spring. Cruise won't work either.
And no, the turn signal is completely independent of the clock spring. The clock spring is a giant contact that is able to twist around without breaking (under normal use) when the steering wheel is cycled, so that power can go to the accessories that are on the wheel. i.e. the cruise, horn and airbag. Turn signals don't rotate.
Me and Briana got pre-qualified to buy a house, we're gonna start looking pretty soon. Should be fun. for those who have houses, anything to look out for/watch for?
I was carrying it all at once. I put the box of rotors on a computer chair and went to put the grease by the boiler to warm up, then i heard a bang. Turned around to see everything on the floor.does me or Travis always have to be there to babysit you to make sure shit dosnt happen all the time
To be fair, I probably would've been carrying the other rotor, and dropped it on the grease and made it explode everywhere :gee:
