THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And other times, when everyone is passing you and there's nothing you can do about it, it's not so nice.

yup.

and ok on the truss. i'll prob bend a piece of tube, notch it for the center section, and then fill it in with some plate. maybe drill holes for speed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what do you all say aboot welding a truss on an axle with all the gearz and burringz in it? i think i wanna add some schtuff on the bottom of my 44.

I'm going to do it, lazily, with scrap metal and a stick welder, and be successful.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Even so.

Did not remove gears and bearings:

Kittens did not die and busses full of nuns arrived safely at their destinations.

PSHHHH I could make that with a torch and my eyes closed. Not even just the truss, I could make MY OWN dana 60. I'm only buying Billy's for a template. I am the greatest fabricator OF ALL TIME.

Potato.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So glad I no longer have that title

I get giddy when I think about our jeeps exploding side by side as we're barfing out our windows and giving each other high fives. Of course we'll die, but dying as the two coolest men in all of the jeep kingdom. WORTH IT.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

some idiot who friended me on fbook just uploaded a pic of his YJ on 40s. on a D30.

oh, long island.
I should take a picture of the YJ on 37" or 38" street worn thornbirds on stock axles and steering that's for sale on my way home. Only asking $5K!

It's not just Long Island.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

theres a yj around here that has a 30 and 35 with something like 38" ground hawgs.

all the kids who are getting into xjs around here find me on the facebooks and always talk about how sweet thier rigs are gonna be with 8" iron rock longarms, 3.73 gears and 36" tsls. i have learned to just sit back and watch.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You sound like someone who just installed their new IRO long arms.
Haha he is an overgrown baby after all.

Awesome.

I want double caster adjuster thingys!!

Why, so you will have some shiny thing to play with and adjust and not focus on actually getting your Jeep to drive?

I say what are you, Canadian?

Kind of cool. I would like it a little more if it actually welded in and replaced the factory rockers.

rocks wont break KOH rigs, the only way youll break on the hammers .
No way dude, I'm not listening to you, you don't know anything about Jeepspeed. If you want some real advice, listen to Ross. He is Jeepspeed, he knows all about this stuff. I mean just listen to this advice!

He doesn't even have airbumps, FAG. His jeep is gunna explode upon landings.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So maybe I'm missing something but it always seems like there are a bunch of KOH competitors that slap buggies together at the absolute last second.

Seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
I dont understand it either, and thats how I build everything

some idiot who friended me on fbook just uploaded a pic of his YJ on 40s. on a D30.

oh, long island.
I am working on a 94 4 door 8 foot bed F350 on 42" Iroks. 3.55s, but it has a 460 and a camo flame job, so its all good. The owner wants to know about good places to wheel, think I can convince him to go to rausch?

yup. this is what i'll do when i see them all out east this summer. i'll have to make up some story about the truck like that i bought it for 500 bucks or something.

I say what are you, Canadian?

only one who caught that, eh?

NOT EVERYONE HAS EASY ACCESS TO WELDING

think of the majoroty of people who want rocker protection on thier xjs. most are cheap bastards and dont weld.

i think these could really take off if they are mounted nice

i could also see them absolutely destroying everything in and around the rocker if not.. or even if they are and just beaten on over time.

most people who buy rocker protection are faggots though. they arent gonna land on thier rockers from 3 feet off the ground like some of us

Yep, I agree. That is why tons of companies make rocker protection that bolts to the unibody and pinch seam.

Ya, they definitely would do well if they are thick enough, and as you said mount well. I know I have a nice dent and scrape where the "JCR" logo is on there, but I would have like it better if it didn't go around the little trim piece. Big woop you have to lose the trim piece, which will offer more protection from a rock a little plastic piece or metal?

The rocker panel on my green jeep that has rocker protection on it was dented at NACfest. It was when I was coming down the rocks where you dropped the rock on your finger, the guard dented and pushed up the rocker.
