i miss my bike, i had so much fun on that thing. Nothing more relaxing then hopping on it on a warm saturday morning and driving to no where.

Agreed. Except I really need to spend some time this year to replace the thermistor that controls the low fuel light (and therefore the reserve) on my bike. Would really be nice to not have to worry too much about "how much fuel do I have left" while riding.

Speaking of ailments, I think my phone just got over a bout of text message constipation. Apparently all my outgoing messages worked fine, but I just got a shit-ton of new messages for the first time that were all sent yesterday, from a bunch of different people. Weird. Some of this would have been nice to know yesterday...

Is this a phone thing or a provider thing?

Mine does the same thing once in a blue moon.

I have a feeling it's a phone thing.

There were a few times that I had the same problem years ago but it hasn't happened recently. It might have been before I changed providers (from Verizon to Sprint) but I'm not sure.

Only text message issue I have had recently was receiving a text that my buddy hadn't actually sent.

I sent him a text letting him know I had stopped by his house and was out in the garage... a few minutes later I got a reply saying "scott's here" and I just assumed was trying to tell a different roommate I was out back and needed a hand so I thought he had just sent the message to the wrong person.

He got super confused when I said "you sent that to the wrong person" and we later compared phones and figured out that was a phantom text. No clue where it came from. It wasn't in his out box to me (or anyone else) and it was clearly in my inbox from him :dunno:

I have been sick as a dog with the same thing you guys got since Monday. Was fine Monday morning, fine when I got in the jeep, by the time I had been in nyc for an hour I was curled up in a ball wishing I was dead. Mostly over it now.

And I would manage to kill myself fast on a motorcycle so I won't get one. Maybe an airplane in my copious free time :laugh2:

In the meantime I will drive all of my inline 6 jeeps and trail ride (or wheel depending on how critical you are) as frequently as I can. The 88 is getting a 5.2 or maybe that zj 5.9 at some point though. If it gets the 5.9, the white mj will get the 5.2 because, well, I already have the damn thing so why not?

Speaking of which 2/19 uj run I better see you guys there

hurry up with the swap and figure out how to make the motor run with minmal wiring, i just want wires for dash/gauges and head lights and engine control

I know if you take the ecu and harness from a 98 ram of some sort it talks ccd bus just like the xj, so you just do a 97+ dash swap and the instrument cluster instantly works. Shelbyluv, terrawombat, and bloose have all verified this on their builds, I was pretty sure it would work and then they went and did it before I could get off my ass.

I need to find out if a 98 zj is ccd bus still or changed to pci bus already. Chris, you have one right? Thoughts?

10 minutes from work, 40 from my house. There is a nasty $4 toll each way on the Newport Bridge too.

The boat I'm going out on is 120' long with a 25' beam and a round bottom. It leaned pretty hard when the capt took what felt like not that aggressive of a turn on Monday.
