Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

4.56 gears.

32s look GAY AS XXXX.

remember. i run 35's stock. and its going to be a little taller when the one tons go in.

they would be load range E most likely.

I was just thinking about cash. You know, bringing the plan closer to reality :D

Buying load range E 35s for a 17" rim is probably going to be expensive. But getting used take offs in the 265/70 variety (~32") would be cheap.

Then you can get away with stockish gears (3.73s/4.10s).

Hell, at that point you could get the NV4500 setup behind the engine you have now and at least start towing with it. Power would be nonexistant, but at least you could get a baseline.

but taking 4.56 gears out of my one tons and putting in gay gears would be a waste of time and money.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My only exception is Carlisle in July if we even go this year again.

I actually love that trip. Parts shopping with my father while he's hammered at noon (who buys a Duster trunk lid for $40 when they already have 2 of them?), shooting the shit with some professional drag racers, and dreaming about buying some of the cars for sale.

Also there was one time a few years back my mother was seriously considering remortgaging the house in order to buy an original '70 Hemi Superbird. It was $60k at the time. Would have been awesome.

I so wanna go carsile this year, got another family reunion coming up but am planning on skipping to go to louisiana I'm so planning on XXXXing up a gator and eating it

Should be there around 9 as well. Wanna race? :D

Especially if you plan on taking the retard route again. :looser:

I'm not sure if I'll take the 5.9 or the Dodge, but either way, thank you for offsetting my carbon footprint.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the whole point is for the rig to be a wheeler eventually right? spending the dime on CUCV axles makes sense to me.

i'm gonna take 95 this time lol, either rig, if we meet on the road prepare to hammer down

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If it's going to be a wheeler, then ignore what I said.

But if it's going to be a tow rig, then I don't see the need for 35s, 4.56s, etc.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah if you can find cheap CUCV axles.

How much luck have you had with that? Not sarcasm, I haven't looked at all.

i already have a 4.56 geared dana60 front and 4.56 geared 14bolt rear. and i have $500 into the pair so far.

i win

picked up the 14 bolt last night

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My Dodge is redline limited at like 90-something MPH.

Really? That's odd.

I don't hit redline until like 115 in my truck. I've only ever done 105 in it.

Right on. I'd go for the 35s then with that much gear.
