THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

GTI is only 200HP, but lighter and geared tighter. if its the same motor in the MKVI (his is MKV) its good for a 0-60 in the low sixes.. so you and him would be a good race.

Anthony's GTI has >200 HP.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Can I join this race? :laugh3: Kinda missed the last few pages, where's the racing?

Race to Sam's house (or watering hole of choice) on the Friday before Chickenfest. I'm leaving Somerset, NJ at about 4:30; Adam's leaving Huntington, NY at around 5. We both predicted arrival times of about 9 PM.

Heads-up racing could start at or around the junction of I-287 and I-95 in Connecticut.

There will be plenty of legal racing opportunities at Dave & Buster's following the chicken dinner.

Ah, gotcha. damn oui and not being able to imbibe at watering holes (even a single beer) and drive home. Oh well, my fault.

I think the Mustang is sitting somewhere around 280-290 RWHP right now. Hope to bump that to 300-325 in the spring

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm keeping a 4.0 in my cherokee so when your big stupid heavy trucks have to slow down bc you cant keep your nose up imma fly by in the whoopz

All I have to do is stay in the throttle.

500 lb ft of torque means I'll be doing wheelies down the whoops.

:D

you keep forgetting that Colin and I are XXXXing awesome and shit out jeeps that work better than yours.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if your jeep cant stay in one piece driving down the streets of long island how is it going to stay in one piece in the whoops?

'Cuz the weight bias of a big stupid heavy 4.0 sitting directly over the front axle is beneficial in this situation. :read:

it WAS still in one piece. just not entirely.. um.. attached?

We don't race in the desert.

We race at Line Mtn. Where people with big engines and shitty suspensions can win races.

:D

oh shush. im not racing line mtn anytime soon anyway. you're entirely correct, but if youre following line mtn logic, you already lost bc youve put logic and educated thought into your build.

psh, logic.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I went to aluminum heads, water pump housing, intake, and headers (3 of which I already plan on doing) I'll be within 20-30 lbs of a stock 4.0.

Not to mention I don't have an AC compressor either.

What a great comic series. I love having come into it a few years late, because there's a SHIT TON of them to browse through.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I plan on lining a new job up, to start a month or two after I plan to quit this one, and then quit. I will get so much jeep and house work done.

Of course, last night I was looking for my coat while my boss bitched me out, at 10pm, in the office, because he wanted me to stop building things properly (we just discussed this friday godammit) and build things ghetto again. When things are so XXXXed up and ghetto rigged that it pisses me off, you know it's bad. I don't know how he expects this to ever work and I don't really intend to be there when it does.

Tl;dr boss still stupid and ghetto rigging things, even by my standards

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha. yup. Except I don't actually get to make the mistakes... people across the country (or across the world) get to make mistakes and I just get to relay their mistakes to the customer.

And the customer apparently hasn't heard the phrase "don't shoot the messenger".
