Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Where do you folks buy ammo locally? The only place I can find 7.62x54R ammo is at gun shops and it's far more expensive than anything I can find online. Since MA sucks and I can't order online I either have to shop local or convince my buddy's father in VT to order online for me (or find someone else out of state who would be willing to place an order for me ) so I'm hoping that some bigger (chain?) store might have a better price on the mosin ammo than I could get at a small shop. The 9mm and 22LR ammo is cheap enough at dicks/walmart but I think I paid $12 for 20 rounds of 7.62x54R at the shop last time and would like to avoid doing that again.

Whoa, twelve bucks! Was it silver bear or something? I usually pay like $4 or $5 for 20 of the Russian type surplus stuff. You can get 440 rounds for like 110 in hooksett nh at rileys...

it's half past midnight. Who the hell is even trying to sleep?

Maybe I'm just a night owl.

$86 for a 440 round spam can on sportsmans guide. I cant legally buy it for you, but if you are coming for chickenfest, I can bring some with me and include it in with the really expensive pack of gum I sell you
Anyone have netflix? Thinking about it now that I have a tv that has internet
The online version isnt bad, it just doesn't have a great selection of new movies

The surplus corrosive stuff? That's what I was looking for. I talked to the folks at the local shop and they recommended against corrosive ammo but said they could order me a 440 round can if I really wanted. I'll give them a call and find out how much they would want for a can and might have to drive up to NH if they are outrageous with that price too. Can I buy ammo in NH with my out-of-state license?

Hmmmm, that's a maybe. I'll be heading to VT sometime in the next few weeks and was hoping to have it before then (might be in VT the same wkend as chickenfest). As mentioned above I'm going to try local and then will probably try and have my buddy's father (who lives at the house in VT we are going to be at) order some for me so it's in VT when we get there. If both of those don't work out I'll let ya know.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris/Bill, do you think I need the additional crossbar on top of the roof? Or just a X and |.

I'm thinking the two I added to hit the rain gutters are kind of unneccessary now after looking at it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Considering Bill and I both did ours the same way, I'm gonna go with no.

I wouldn't even waste time/tube with an X.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh shirt.woot... so many drunk college nights when I saw a shirt that I thought looked funny and bought it, only to receive it and wonder wtf I was thinking.

I prefer:

And from the sounds of it I might have found a local shop (or two) to buy surplus ammo. Going to give them a call later and might not need to rely on anyone else. Huzzah.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well that's a bummer. Just called one of the local places (the only one open today) and found out that a 440 can of milsurp 7.62x54r is $150. Hoping the other store that I'm calling tomorrow is a bit cheaper but I might just have to bite the bullet and pay up. I would never be able to make it to NH for cheaper ammo before stores closed even if my MA LTC would allow me to buy while out of state so looks like I'm stuck paying more. XXXX MA laws. Can't wait to get out of this state.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rileys is open on Saturdays and sundays also. and yes the LTC is fine. You really don't even need a ltc at all to buy ammo, but MA has brainwashed you into thinking it's necessary... 99% of places i go for ammo in NH never ask...
