THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I see you are referencing to the last time I bought a vehicle, when bought the woody and I kept telling everyone "I have wood" just thinking about it.

But no, I'm legit going to look at this. Fiat
If you are IT BETTER HAVE THIS STRIP DOWN THE SIDE AND THE "Abarth" LOGO!

Cause 1.4L 16v MultiAir® Engine with 101 hp @ 6,500 rpm and 98lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm with a 5spd is... LAME!
But a 1.4L 16v Turbo Engine with 1.4L with 160 hp @ 5,500 rpm and 170lb-ft @ 2,200-4,800 rpm is a LOT Better. Still kinda lame, but it is a small car.

Haha, its funny because I actually changed pictures 3 times. 1st picture I put a fiat convertible, then I changed to an Abarth, then I realized the Abarth isn't out until April, then I put that one up, right before I had to leave.

But seriously, drove down to CT today to check this out with my dad. I'm fairly certain I'll put a deposit down on it on Monday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey guys who are on pirate more than me.. hows profender's stuff? still good? im gonna pull the trigger on bumps and cans after i get paid this week. might pay for a membership there if i can get a good discount, i need 4 bumps and cans.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Profender doesn't offer a Pirate discount. I saved money by not buying their cans, they woulda adding like $50 to my order. Just get some 2" ID tubing and build your own. I can't waitt to try them!! Engine cage is getting tied into them today.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Called the guy at the dealer today and gave him my CC # to put a deposit down on it tomorrow when they open the dealership. (assuming it didn't sell in the 20 minutes between the time we left the dealership yesterday and the time they closed)

In other words, I finally bought a car, and don't have to talk about it as much anymore.

And now for one bit of information that I'm sure will give Bill a horrible taste in his mouth.

Since it is Honda certified, it has a full 7 year 100,000 mile warranty (better than if I bought a new car), and the dealer offers a lifetime warranty on the engine, transmission, and FWD system... Because of that lifetime warranty, I can't change the oil on it myself.

I can do brakes and stuff, but no fluids, have to be done by a "certified mechanic" else it voids that warranty if that part fails.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Grats on the car but that sucks you can't do much work on it yourself.

To those of you who know... is it a V8 ZJ tie rod that is a bolt in upgrade for the stock XJ one?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yes. You should get the adjuster sleeve freed up on the bench before installing it if you buy a used one.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Where do you folks buy ammo locally? The only place I can find 7.62x54R ammo is at gun shops and it's far more expensive than anything I can find online. Since MA sucks and I can't order online I either have to shop local or convince my buddy's father in VT to order online for me (or find someone else out of state who would be willing to place an order for me ) so I'm hoping that some bigger (chain?) store might have a better price on the mosin ammo than I could get at a small shop. The 9mm and 22LR ammo is cheap enough at dicks/walmart but I think I paid $12 for 20 rounds of 7.62x54R at the shop last time and would like to avoid doing that again.

Thanks. I'm not really sure what he's doing for parts but he damn well better get it freed up on the bench... the Jeep was just dragged out of a hole in the woods and the tie rod is quite bent.
Yeah, but I also have a HD tie rod with stock drag link attached for sale too :shhh:

Well we need this part ASAP so I'm not sure he wants to go to NH for it. Pretty sure he is going to try and get another stock tie rod for free from a friend tomorrow and if not he will be picking something up through his work (he works at an auto shop) tomorrow so it's going to be XJ or ZJ stuff.

"Bigfoot is frequently sighted in this small, sleepy town in rhode island. People generally describe him as possessing catlike reflexes, having a gold coat, almost robelike in nature, and occasionally wearing a burger king mask."

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it must be nice to have a job and tv show seeking something that's never officially been seen ever. We should start a boat service telling people we're seeking mermaids and we pretend to see splashes, and get paid $$$ for giving boat rides.
