THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin im thinking I might be able to drop that 231 off sometime today. Want an excuse to bail out of work early? If so what time?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What a feg.

I'm also being rebellious, and wearing blue jeans today.
That's my plan for tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow the office is empty by 1 or 2 PM.

I just started last night

Ditto. I threw down some cash on a group gift for someone last weekend but I didn't start my own shopping until last night. Everyone in the family is getting gift certificates since I'd rather let them get something they actually want rather than something I think they might like. Plus it makes my life easier.

I'm in Marlborough until 4 pm at the earliest.

However I can come outside and meet you whenever you're around, just give me a heads up.

What time you thinkin?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Probably anytime from noon til 5 or 6 works. I should land around 11 and need to hit home depot in between.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds like an excellent idea for the Friday night before chickenfest.

:cough: :sam:

k

either gonna slightly alter/extend the frt shock adapters i got from chris or make new ones, gonne make the mounting hole about a inch lower

Oooh...a ZJ. Details?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

dont think so lol. thats the coolest thing i remember about it (not saying the rest of it isnt cool, but a factory 5 speed in a zj is pretty badass)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris what are your thoughts on hard mounting an engine.

Also, I read somewhere that you should tie the trans and t-case mounts (for second t-cases) together somehow so they twist together? Not sure what the hell they were talking about.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hard mounting has its place if you were building a tube chassis or something.

In a sheetmetal unibody it sounds like a horrible idea.

I really don't know how I'd approach your mounting situation. I wouldn't want anything besides the motor mounts limiting torque rotation, that's for sure.

Sucks that the 205 adapter is so long. Is the 241 case much beefier than a 231?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You should go ask your supervisor for more work so you won't have as much free time to think of all these retarded ideas...

They need a smiley that does the people's eybrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I feel like poo. Damn random drinks with vodka in them. Thank god I didn't have to work until 9 this morning, I woulda been useless any earlier.

That's what some of the Mopar guys do, and those things are unibody :dunno: My uncles 440 with indy heads and whatnot in his duster just has elephant ears.

Not saying I want to do it, was just thinking about it. I meant hardmounting in terms of just the engine.

I'm thinking of just making a PTO cover/bushed mount just to support the back of it.

Since I'm getting Kens 231, I'll take pics and compare to the 241. It's definitely bigger with more webbing, just not sure how much beefier.
