Chris, what kind of deep hole saws did you get for your notcher?

How deep is good? (haha)

JMR has ones that are extra deep but cost like $25 :shocked:

What about one that's 1 7/8 deep? Just seems like it would bottom out on any kind of notch at an angle.

it will be at the meet and greet. but no way in hell im driving it to providence and back.

I never had one, my notcher got stolen before they came to market.

But basically, your alternative is having to stop halfway through most notches and cut/break off the piece of tube that it's bottoming out on, before continuing through. And sometimes that little piece gets bound in the holesaw instead and causes the drill to try and break your wrist.

I drove my XJ down to PA and back once. That was fun.

I also did it for the first NACfest since Adam's XJ broke.

I had 5 of Anthony's dumbass tires in the back of my XJ.

Thing handled like a champ.

I did too. I even broke down the 1st time I attempted it, then did it the next day alone. That was fun.

Listen to yourself, gay boy.

It's mainly for fuel reasons. Something is wrong so I get real shitty mileage, and all I can smell is gas inside. Gas smells good for the first 10-15 miles, then I get a headache.

Well maybe if some dumbass didn't put his gastank in the cab...

If I had working lights I would take it out during a massive blizzard.

But I don't. I'll work on that once the drivetrain swap is done.

Headlights are pretty much already setup, just have to swap out the switch and plug in the headlights :laugh:.

I was mainly running into an issue with the rear lights. Harness from an XJ and the lights from an MJ don't match and it wasn't a simple cut and splice deal.

I'll figure it out later.

Almost did that yesterday actually, damn old school 1/2 drill that is near impossible to stall. Appearently holesaws dont like inner fenders, I also broke the pilot bit at the same time.

Probably won't need more than one unless you're a ham-fisted jackass when it comes to operating tools. They last a long time.

I'd probably just get one long and one standard.
