THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I did, but not until I got back pretty late. I WILL have an answer for you tonight. Promise. Thank you.
If it does, I don't know it.
This goes for everyone.
No excuses for those of you thinking of missing the Jan. ChickenFest. I don't care if you need to take a train, ride a bus, catch airfare, or build a space shuttle with new NASA funds, BE THERE.
I don't care if I have to quit my job to get the time off, I will be there. Even if I'm running on 4 cylinders.

Why do people put all the responsibility on the BOD (per members forum).

Friggin get out and do something if you don't like the way the club is. You don't have to be a member of the BOD to organize a M&G or wheeling event.

Do you even need their approval to make it NAXJA sanctioned?
I am going to plan an event in my back yard and wait for no one to show up, then blame it all on everyone else

i make meet and greets around my schedule and people always end up going to them.

i must be awesome

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That SWAG thing is pretty cool, hadn't seen that before. The ability to come in from different angles would definitely be nice.

I've had some pretty XXXXed up positioning of my notcher in order to get its fixed angle of attack to work.

And the total would only be $100 more than a TN-100.

In my eyes, if I'm getting a notcher that would be the combo I would go for.

Nope.

There's been some murmurs about trying to get a NJ/PA meet & greet together, but it dissolves because everyone bitches about it being too far for them or on a bad day, and no one wants to be the asshole that picks the date that doesn't work for anyone.

I haven't been getting involved in those discussions because I've been at the mercy of other peoples' planning for the last 3 months. But if anyone ever settled on a date & location I'd sticky it like anything else.

Yeah the guy complaining about M&Gs was a guy in NJ. I told him to set something up, stop waiting for the BOD to do something.

Still haven't seen it yet.

Which one was it that this is in reference to?

Unnecessary. (the notchmaster and swingarm)

But get it so I can use it in a year or two. :)

The most recent 99 M&G.

Seems worth it in my eyes.

I don't lend out tools, so kiss my ass.

no monees

Ditto. Houses are extremely expensive.

My budget plan gives me a decent sized deposit after 2.5 years.

Thinking about asking for a winch for Christmas.. Thoughts? Prob the superwinch lp8500

M8000.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nah. That's like a whole nother weekend of work I don't want to do. That would push my build from 2 solid weeks worth of work to like, 2 weeks and a weekend. F that.
Don't be a little bitch. That is stupid.

more than twice the price. My old jeep was rescued with a lp8500 many times...

Nope, I was at work then was feeling like shit. No way I was going to go sit at a place with terrible food when I'm feeling like shit.

I know douche, which was why it was a joke. Like when I said I know better than to ask for you truck services.

They have awesome food, your stomach is just gay.

I don't mind lending truck services, but I refuse to lend out tools.

How is that being a little bitch? Seriously, convince me why it is worth it to narrow versus leaving it alone. Only down fall I see is being 2 inches wider on either side which is a good and bad thing given the scenario.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Edit: None of you guys have 8-10 feet of 1.5x.25 DOM kicking around I could buy right? If I could cancel that part of the order that'd be purddy cool.

Yeah. Give me an exact amount needed and I'll look. I also have a couple of useable drops.

The LP8500 doesnt have a clockable shift lever and the solenoid isnt really removeable (with a little work it could be). These two reasons kinda gave me some problems with my front crossmember setup, I had to push it forward a few more inches then others have done.

This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Looks like xrc8 or see if I can convince my parents to spend $$ on a vr8000....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have an xrc8. I would buy it again, especially for the price I paid for it, used.

Will it haul me out of trouble wheeling alone? Probably. Do I wheel alone? Not intentionally, I only do that on the way to/from my house, and on the way to/from buying large welders.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm sensing a theme here.

"I'm looking for a xxxx. Any suggestions?"

"Yeah, how about a xxxx? They're pretty good(cool/fast/practical/economical/functional)."

"Totally not what i'm looking for, anyone else?"

Bunch of indecisive bitches 'round here... :|

I decide what I'm going to buy while I'm on my way to the seller's house with cash in my pocket after seeing a listing that might not even still be available. Either that or I ask for tech info on here and people make fun of me and I say XXXX you and do it anyways*.

* by do it, I mean stockpile the parts in my yard

oh, and giving Mark bad advice is fun because he reacts so strongly to it. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I openly admit I stock pile parts.

I just bought an OX cable and shifter off someone, they said let me know when you have it installed. I told him it would be most likely a year at the earliest.

Its because it is terrible advice...

Chris, I openly admit I'm indecisive. I can't even decide what I want to eat for lunch, which costs less than $10. (yes, we have gotten into this how much does your lunch cost debate before) How do you think I'm going to act when I'm going to buy something that is $xx,xxx.xx ?
