Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

there is not a single item on my jeep worth that much

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

$672? It better come with chrome, a lifetime warranty, and a blowjob

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This ruffstuff sale is making it very difficult for me to not buy pretty things for my MJ

Speaking of which I think I'll give them a call if my order isn't at my house when I get home tonight. Based on the ETA I was given when I placed my order I should have received my stuff already and I haven't see anything yet. hmmmm

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

would i be gay if i make a build thread when my jeep is already built? i got ninjas asking me for a link to my build thread. but i stopped doing that stuff like 2 years ago

Being an internet celebrity ain't all it's cracked up to be, huh? :D

What's even worse is when you *have* a build thread, and the server where your pictures were hosted gets taken offline forever. Then you get messages from people reminding you that your pics don't work and could you please send such-and-such picture because I'm at this same point in my build and I don't know what I'm doing blah blah blah...

Or God forbid you ever build a 4-link and post in a thread somewhere that it 'works great'. I get messages all the time asking for me to look at various 4-link configurations and 'critique away!'

Buddy, listen. Your 4-link is not special. It is not a beautiful and unique snowflake. If it looks like everyone else's, it'll probably work like everyone elses's.

(^paraphrased from an actual PM response a few years ago)

I can't wait til the next time someone bumps my build thread and asks for any updates. People will probably cry.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sirius question.

has anyone seen a larger heim like 7/8" completely separate?

just seein all this talk of safety washers and heims falling apart.

ive seen tie rod ends come apart before and theres no way to put a safety washer on those and nobody is going around saying they are dangerous because that is such a rare occurence.
YUP!

One of mine. I think Colin will remember me complaining about a knocking in my steering after the first NACFest. I found it when I got home and was cleaning everything. Turned out to be the 7/8" rod end on the pass side high steer arm had come apart. If it wasn't for the safety washer it would have come right off. The inner race was missing and the ball was working its way through the joint itself but was only stopped by the safety washer. Once I took it all apart I was able to push the ball out with my thumb with little effort.
Chris's new nickname is snowflake.
Cute.

So I'm assuming you've since changed out all the steering components on your Chevy for heims & safety washers too?

He needs to drive more conservatively.

No, but my truck doesn't get beat on like the XJ does. Nothing wrong with TREs. I'm not sure what the debate is about? For the couple of bucks for a washer why not?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

his jeep doesnt see anything above 10mph anyway. and if it saw anything more than 10mph he would have noticed a sloppy-ass joint.

see. driving your jeep on the street is a good thing
