THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd much rather the external slave, but if you end up needing it, I'll take the internal.

Time to go wrestle with a 3/4" sheet of plywood, yay!

You caught my post before the edit. I removed that question, I realized you were asking about shift forks and shit so obviously you wanted external. :gee:

edit: And now I have to make the decision... add BBQ sauce to the pulled pork or add it later so people can choose their BBQ of choice. hmmmm. The pork tastes pretty damn good w/o any sauce at all so I'll probably leave it 'dry'.

Glad I got the 2TB HDD for my media center PC. Recording uncompressed HD shows eats up quite a bit of space. Time to go and delete all the old crap I already watched. :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

One of the pinion bearings isnt seating fully in the 14b. It wont allow the crush sleeve to start to crush. Looks like the cage/rollers on the inner bearing are messed up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My Dad and I are buying a boat tomorrow.
Q: what makes boats float?
A: money.

The wall is DONE, it's real strange feeling to not be able to look into the back yard from the basement, through the bottom of the back hall's wall. And I'm getting more confident that next time I do something like this (when I build a house from scratch) I should be able to put up about a floor worth of framing per day. Most of what took so long this time was trying to measure perfectly to make all the new stuff fit into the hole in the old wall.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Does anyone have an electric impact gun they recommend? Can be corded or cordless... doesn't matter.

I hate waiting for my air compressor to refill since it's pretty small and always end up just using hand tools because of that. Figure I can solve that problem by getting an electric impact which would also be good since I could use it while camping/wheeling/etc (could use it with a large power inverter if it's corded). I guess the other option is to get a new air compressor and turn the 2x6 rockers and my bumper/etc into air tanks and get a compressor for the Jeep... but figured electric may be a decent way to go maybe?

Congrats on the wall. I'm glad to hear fit's coming along, is it going to be livable for the winter?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Need another one of these.

DER-98201

Mine broke today, looked like it was oxidizing or something. Want something a little better quality but there's NO other brand on Summit that has a -8AN to 3/8" hose barb/push lok or anything.

And YES Bill, I DO remember when you said don't buy shitty quality fittings. I thought Derale was halfway decent .

Sweet boat Keith

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This is the 2nd year in a row my Jeep has broke before Rocktoberfest, last year I had to replace the gears like the week before, and this year my transfer case breaks in half.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just hoping I don't end up parting the MJ out down there

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Both of you, especially you travis, go try driving your truck around downtown Boston, and try finding a parking spot, then tell me how your truck is doing.

A truck would be nice, definitely. But its not practical for me right now, so why should I need to get a truck because of what you guys think?

XXXX downtown boston. I hate the shit out of the city. Its *OK* to visit once in a while, but beyond that it blows. Even when I do go, I always take the train. My solution to that is find a job outside of a stupid city and then its a non issue, plus you get to buy a truck! And you don't need to get one, I just love my truck lotssss. They're so damn useful!

I'm glad you hate the city, I'm glad you do.

Its not a problem of having a job in a city, its the whole "living in it" thing.

Like Bill said, you're never going to win, so just drop it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Here, look at these.

Original build sheet. It was under the carpet on the passenger floor

I just need to paint the 2x6, clean up some wiring in the interior, and re-install the carpet, seats, etc. and she's done.
