Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Speaking of geography.

I just learned that there is a little landlocked principality/"country" called Andorra that exists between France and Spain. It's about 180 square miles.

I had a customer call from there and I'm sure I sounded like a typical American dumbass isolationist when I had to tell him I've never heard of his country before. I think my 6th-grade geography teacher skipped that one.
I knew about that one :wierd:

Another of my favorites: Djibouti.

I don't have Monday off, but I'm going to a networking conference in Philly for Monday-Wednesday with my boss and one of my coworkers (the one I actually know.) Quote from my boss: 'well we're going for the party, not the conference, that shit is boring.'

I might make it to 99 today, but the motor in the 99 might also liberate one of its pistons. I'm not really sure.

going for a mtb ride on a new, fast, flowy trail on the north shore after work today. i wanna use my fox 140 on a ride instead of keeping it locked out for once!

Is that the front you're talking about? Why would you lock out a front fork while MTB???

a lot/most of the trails around here are 100% doable on a fully rigid bike. mostly sand, fast single track, short technical descents, and slow long uphils. sure, a stiff 90 or 100mm air shock would be great, but a 140mm coil sprung fork is way too squishy sometimes.. it does have an adjustable 'relief' so it gives under harder hits.

art festival!?!?!?

Sounds like a perfect time to play you honk we drink.

And the weather is supposed to be beautiful, so I second this. I would be trying this out if I didn't live in a small neighborhood where only one or two cars pass every long while.

...and I'm now commuting 8 miles a day on pavement with WTB Velociraptors.

Full suspension sure soaks up those expansion joints and root heaves pretty nice...

Any recommendations on what type of beer I should get tonight? I know a few of you have mentioned different pumpkin ales recently but I want to steer clear of that for tonight... I find that type of beer very hit or miss and don't want to risk getting something I will hate.

is that the stupid art festival? I hate getting stuck in that traffic

Have you ever checked it out? Is it anything worth going to?

I like Magic Hat, I'll have to try this.

I already had one case of it this season but may have to pick it up again. It was part of my hurricane survival kid :D

I have to say that the Otter Creek Vermont Fall Sampler is pretty damn good and I'd definitely recommend it. I have gone through a couple cases of that over the past few weeks. I was going to get another case on my way home but figured I'd see if you guys had something else that peaked my interest.

Edit: deleted the beer list... just checked and octoberfest isn't included I guess... have to look up whats in the sampler... though some of the samplers seem different then what I got up here... I know the Black IPA was included in the VT sampler I got last week but it's not listed in the VT sampler on a couple different beer web sites :dunno: Weird... the black IPA was fawking delicious.
