Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Friday: got hammerfaced, :speepin::puke::speepin:
Saturday: blew jeep up, fixed jeep, highlight of the day was definitely playing hot potato with the throwies though.
Sunday: meant to get off the trail early but for some reason 5 minutes from getting to pavement again, my jeep started overheating and rapidly went way past the end of the gauge, I tried racing the motor a little to make it cool down faster, tried turning the heat all the way up, stopped and popped the hood only to see that the upper radiator hose was twice its normal diameter and creaking ominously, went OH XXXX OH SHIT OH XXXX OH SHIT and closed the hood and backed the hell off 5 seconds before it exploded, ripped itself almost completely in half and spewed steam and boiling coolant EVERYWHERE. Then spent the next few hours ripping it apart, waiting for a ride (thanks to Frank and Tom) and getting parts. Near as I can tell, the thermostat got stuck closed, the mechanical fan was doing almost nothing, and the upper hose was just about dead anyways.

We also discovered an awesome use for candy corn, position someone 30 feet from the jeep in line with the mechanical fan and drop pieces into it, see if they can catch them. It was a lot more amusing than it sounds, you kinda had to be there I guess.

saw a pic today, aparently the tard who rolled the ZJ yesterday rolled it again today, some peaple just dont learn, anyways saw some stupid carnage with the buggies today, D44 rcv and a d60 ujoint going everywhere, all all the trail "Everything sucks"
I forgot to give you your free shit, know anyone who's coming down here soon that could bring it up? Or vice versa

I dented my transmission pan. :shhh:
it's a hint to install a panless transmission

Lincoln locker.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have one out of a 99 sitting in my back hall as a spare for the 98, and one hiding under a big leafy green thing in the flower bed by the house, other than that I'm all done with AW4s

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had a sweet weekend. Yesterday the assist ram tore itself off the axle. Today as we were getting ready to head back to the trailer my awesome codriver noticed I was losing air our of the right rear fast so I pulls out some KOH shit and hauled ass to get it back to the trailer before it was totally out of air. Turned out I just crushed the end of the valve stem and it was holding the stem down and airing down the tire. But at the time I just assumed it must've had a cut somewhere....good excuse to haul ass if nothing else

Also my clutch randomly decides to not do its job so I ought to replace that. It'd be the perfect time to pull/swap motors. Chris, you reading this buddyboy? :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just realized the MJ has tried to kill itself or me every single day since friday, I think I'm gonna part it out because it is fighting me so bad

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hate buses, especially when my day is interrupted twice to go tow them.

Spent saturday working on a 66 buick riviera someone I work with bought. between the two of us, we started to pull the engine (425 Nailhead) to put in his 36 ford 5 window he is building, but got sidetracked when we found the engine was locked up. Pulled the heads, and found rust in 2 cylinders. We got it free, reassembled the engine with the old gaskets, and got the engine running. Worked until 1:30 this morning to get the car together for a car show today, and decided to go home and button it up after a few hours sleep. At 4 He went one direction with one of the heavy wreckers, and I went the other with the medium duty to grab a shuttle bus from Foxwoods. Get back to the shop at 7:30, started to work on the car, and the phone rings to go get another shuttle bus. By the time I got back, it was almost noon.

Helped my buddy swap brembo 4 piston calipers, and 13.5 inch rotors from another mustang onto his.

The one kid with the brembos is selling his car, and decided to give my other buddy his brembos, so i had to swap brakes between the cars. Once we got the other kids car done, i got to drive it around. I must say, mustangs are fun as hell, and i want one. Burnouts, donuts, and drifting are awesome.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why's that, did I miss something?

And speaking of Driveshafts... which Jeep front driveshafts works in the rear with an SYE again?

IIRC there were two of them, one was a bit longer than the other. Something like an Auto XJ front shaft or a ZJ front shaft?

I was thinking about that yesterday. I'm heading to the JY next weekend and right now I'm looking for an AX-15 and whatever DS I need (an SYE will be going in at the same time as the replacement trans).
