I might have to get one of those filters. I'm definitely due for a new filter and if that works and clears up some space It couldn't hurt, right?

I also have to get around to installing the ZJ hood vents that I have had on the shelf for years now. Either that or I should sell them.

I have been looking for some vents at my local JY. I am just nervous to cut holes in my "not yet mangled" hood.

I have been looking for some vents at my local JY. I am just nervous to cut holes in my "not yet mangled" hood.

I only found one 5.9 ZJ in the JY in my years of going there so I snagged the hood vents off that thing fast. I haven't needed to install them yet but may do that sooner than later.

I have no problem cutting my hood up, I have a spare 96+ hood so if I fawk something up I can just start over. Not like my POS looks anything near decent anyway.

My father used to have one in his junk lot, but that was sold a while before I got hit with XJ Fever. I'm gonna stop at my local JY tomorrow and browse around, I need some top end stuff for my 84 Trans Am anyway.

oh. and remember when i kinda complained on the internet about my brown dog motor mount bracket only having 4 holes and not the updated 8?

The sales lady/dude is going to see if she/he can hook me up.

might be late but they are awesome, spoke with Karol and Tim (the owner) when I ordered the wrong part they paid the return shipping and sent me out the right one befor I mailed the part back

Ya, Brown Dog does have some pretty awesome customer service. I was having a problem with the drivers side rubber mount coming out of the bushing sleeve, and they shipped me a new pair of mounts, even though the passenger side was fine.

No idea who spidr is, not his rig. It's Eugene's, same guy that bought Kazu's old rig. I wheeled at his place with Summit Crawlers a few weeks ago.

XXXX that piece of shit. new o-ring was worthless, got cut when trying to slide the two parts together. Put the old o-ring on (it was already a bit torn up but I just wanted to try and see if I could get it together with that part... it went together.

Guess I'm taking the parts and o-rings with me tomorrow and stopping by HD/Ace on the way home. By the time I broke the o-ring it was 6:45 tonight and too late to go to the hardware store.

On a plus side I got the steering apart. Surprisingly the crusty old steering stabilizer bolt (axle side) came out clean w/o any PB blaster or anything. Guess I get to put off re-assembling this XXXXing thing for another night and do some laundry instead. godXXXXingdamnit. If I wasn't so pissed I would cut/tap the other steering parts that I need but I'm not going to bother with that for now since I'd probably screw something up there too.

I agree completely.

If anyone here added spacers to the hood hinges, do you happen to have the dimensions of the spacers handy?

I guess I should use the search feature. But, if anyone wants to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated seeing as how I am at work.

just stack anything that has holes in it through the longer bolts til your happy. i used like 3 small nuts per side. maybe an inch of lift
