I am schedualing a meeting for 10AM Monday June 6 to discuss policys, activities and the team.


In the mean time attached is a new PTO form that needs to be filled out and approved for paid time off, it is critical that befor the meeting all forms for taken pto are filled out and returned to Jeanine.

Spelling I understand, but beyond that...I write stuff the way I'd tell it to you if you were standing in front of me. If I read something back and it sounds dumb or unclear, then I'll change it.

I dunno. Pet peeve I guess.

I don't understand spelling mistakes unless it's a misuse of a similarly sounding (but real) word. There's a word for that, but I can't come up with it at the moment. I don't know about your work, but we have spell check built into our email client. It's 2011, people, not 1993.

Your second sentence says it all. Most people don't proofread their own emails. Also, a lot of people have a hard time proofreading their own writing. They know what they meant to say, they read it incorrectly, their subconcious reads what they meant not what they actually wrote, and no error is detected.

I'm always afraid of sounding dumb in emails and read, and re-read, and re-re-read every email before I send them, especially the emails that are going to a customer.

Pretty sure I still regularly miss stuff and end up sounding dumb though I try and make sure, at the very least, it kindof makes sense and has decent punctuation.

XXXX it. I MIGHT plate it but it will get some gussets and maybe some legs to the floor. My floor isn't stock anymore, its 14ga and fully welded so it's stronger than stock spot welds and tin foil. Some spots are 1/8" too.

That's good as ill need someone to drive. Me to the trail as ill be super hungover can't wait

Panacea is a real word and is used properly in that example...my boss is good at stuff like that.

I think his bigger issue is that he types with two fingers. At some point productivity outweighs proofreading. Meanwhile, I can average well over 100 WPM which leaves me plenty of time to proofread and hang out on .
