THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've tried some of the different forms of "alcohol," and I think it all tastes the same, like sh*t. :dunno: That is just me though.

Amended.

When you say "tried" how did you try them? Beer is beer so for other alcohols did you do shots or drink them straight up? Or did you try different mixed drinks? I like many different alcohols and some can be taken straight (e.g. whiskey/whisky) while others have to be mixed (and have to be mixed right , e.g. gin, vodka, rum). Plus you may hate a rum and coke but love a spiced rum and coke, or a cape codder, or *insert other random drink here*. And a bad mix can ruin many drinks.

That said some whiskeys have to be mixed while others are better straight up if you like that sort of thing. Then again maybe beer/alcohol just isn't you thing. No problem with that either.

But whatever. Doesn't really matter in the long run. It's cheaper not to drink so that's probably a good approach

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alcohol is definitely an acquired taste. Beer even more so.

I rarely drink to get drunk these days. It just sorta happens occasionally as a side effect... NACFest was the last time I was anything but buzzed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

some beer is yummy, some beer is crap. like anything else.

my gf wants to rent this http://newlondon.craigslist.org/apa/2562077178.html

her boss owns/builds them so she's gonna see if she can get a deal. not bad, brand new apartments right across the street from Moosup Pond.
Make sure there's nothing in the lease about working on your vehicle in the community parking lot or any crazy rules like that. A lot of complexes have caveats like that. Other than that, looks like a nice place.

Not bad, looks pretty good esp for the price. Wish I could find a decent apartment for sub-$1000 per month but the locations I'm looking in make that difficult.

edit: and what Anthony said

Likewise, except 13 minutes now

Just emailed my boss and played the "countryfest got moved to today so traffic will suck" card and told him I'm leaving by 3 unless there is something he needed me to do later this afternoon. I got the "have a good weekend" reply

Edit: Wtf am I thinking. I am just going to leave now since I have to run errands in Foxboro anyway. Will check my email when I'm done with my errands and come back to the office if something comes up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Working until past 5 today, like I do every day...

I have one of these on my desk. It is AWESOME for modeling, especially with all the buttons. This little sucker costs $330ish, and I'm glad I don't have to pay for it. Makes things so much easier, especially with the programable buttons.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What software are you using it with? There was a time when I really could have benefitted from one of those.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Pro/e or any CAD program that I will be working on for a specific project. (solidworks, etc). Can even use it for navigating through PDF files, real handy actually.

Last time I was here I has just the spaceball, so only the center joystick, without the big wrist pad/buttons. It was nice, but really annoying because if you had to pull up on the joystick, many times it would lift the thing off the desk, and would completely mess with your model rotation/zoom.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It is a "spaceball" and that big black joystick is for rotating/zooming/pan on 3d models in CAD software. It has buttons like "shift, control, esc, alt" on one side, which are buttons used a ton when creating models. It has view buttons so you can easily orientate the part to look at it from the top, front, sides, or make it fit in the screen properly. There are also programmable buttons so that you can one click features that you use a lot, like insert new component when making an assembly of different parts, insert sketch if you are creatign a new part, etc.
