Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
I'd check voltage to the pump while it's idling. Then take it from there.

Any of you gents had an issue with a fuel pump shutting off after 5-10 seconds of idle? I did a bit of research and came up with nothing.

I may very well have declined the breath test if I was given accurate information. The police officer told me that the penalty for declining the breath test was 180 days mandatory license suspension though in reality it is only 90 days (my lawyer informed me that the penalty had been decreased recently). No way I could do 180 days w/o a license but I would have been more likely to decline if I knew it was 'only' 90... though it is REAL nice to have the license back so my folks don't have to worry about driving me. Particularly where my kid siblings start school next Monday and that would have complicated the ride since I go 45 minutes one direction for work and the kids are 20 minutes in the other direction for school.
But yeah... that one inaccurate detail wasn't enough to make the case worth taking to court... yeah there was a chance we could have won the case but the odds were against me so I just cut my losses and went with the CWOF. If I took it to court the lawyer fees would probably have been pushing $5000-$7000 and I got away with only $1500 in lawyer fees. Yeah I have this on my record but it's not a conviction and I don't plan on getting a 2nd offense so I should be fine. Insurance will just suck for a few years (but the $$ I saved on lawyer fees will offset the insurance surcharges a bit)
