THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I could really use some slider boxes right about now. Hope requesting extra pickles on my order didn't make it a custom order. Incorporation of pickles into the suspension can be tricky though, XXXXk.

They're getting shipped out today or tomorrow I'm cool with that

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There's a white and orange cat that's been hanging around my house. He's young, has no collar, and I've seen him with blood in his beard rather often. I named him George.

so i have to put a bend in my draglink... now im thinking, if i do that, when i turn its just going to rotate the link instead of pushing the knuckle (id be bending it outwards, away from the axle)... am i crazy or what?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah don't do that.

What's the problem? What kinda steering setup?

You're crazy. As long as the link is stiff enough it will be fine. Ever seen a track bar with a bend in it? (oh wait, every single one made for the factory xj suspension) It's the same idea, just different joints at the ends.

crossover, tie rod utk, draglink on the high steer arm. the problem is the draglink is gonna whack into the trackbar mount when i turn left (and pull the draglink inward). maybe i need a longer high steer arm? seems like an easy solution.

yea but youre not moving the trackbar, thats a link that doesnt move, it just keeps the axle center. bending it up or down would be ok, not out.

I don't see your point.

And as long as one of those joints is a bushing, it's not a problem.

For example:

I know it's been done, asshats who do crappy spring-over conversions make Z-bent drag links all the time. You'll usually find they have the same results as the people who complain about having a dead spot with inverted-T steering.
