THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ill put a clutch pedal in it

Damnit. I was fully ready to say I would swap my shit into it if you hadn't already.

I guess I should get my POS running before I try and buy another POS to get running with parts of my POS.

I think I may spend the winter actually getting shit done and welding shit into my POS and may cut the roof off mid winter because I want to. If it doesn't work out I will put my shit into an MJ and call it "ok".

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A few things - make sure your brake switch is functional. IIRC the 91+ ones have multiple terminal sets so the brake lights coming on may not be a full indicator. Also make sure the NSS is working right, if it's reading as the shifter being in the wrong gear (96 and earlier show no connections if the shifter is in 3, so if the contacts for either 1-2 or D or dirty, it will seem like the shifter's in 3 to the TCU)... though you probably already did all this.

My personal test is to stomp on the gas a bit rather than hitting the brakes, if you get on it a little it should stay right where it is if the TC is locked obviously. If it rises, you aren't locked. I found that the motor would sometimes slow down fast enough when I took my foot off the gas that tapping the brakes to unlock the TC wasn't all that reliable an indicator.

Huh? I didn't do any of that. I barely know what you're saying.

Ever since I got the Jeep, I've thought about how interesting it would be to have a fancy trim level XJ like that with all the wood inside, and a manual transmission.

But no, I'm not selling the briarwood for anything near what you guys have posted so far.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i want a clutch pedal in one of those supercharged gm 3.8's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bittersweet day today. After waiting a week for the scrap man to show up i'm starting to cut the XJ's body up.. time to break out the sawzalls. This thing has been here too long.

I'll take a few pics..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I need one of the torx bolts that hold the rear hatch latch in. Sounds like the hatch is gonna fall off every time I hit a bump.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

some chick on my fbooks is saying i can get 37 mpg out of an 87 ram with a slant 6 with a turbo.

I saw that. Just tell her no, you're dumb and I don't want your shitty truck. End that one now before she keeps asking you to buy the truck for the next 2 years and go crazy like the Kristy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i always wanted to drop one of those into a delorean

the only issue is the cars that had them were never offered with a third pedal.

there is word on the street that theres 5 speeds that will bolt to the motor (assuming it uses the same block as the gm 3.1 and 3.4 v6) but it will explode behind the blown 3.8. and i will have to fabricate all sorts of shift linkage and clutch pedalage. eff that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just finished all the bodywork on the wrangler. (minus mangled/rusty hood and rear bumper)

from when i got it to now it looks like a totally different truck after the ravines,30" muds, new top, kryloned flares, rot elimination and repaintification.

too bad i gotta fix the frame and find a motor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
