So this weekend I talked to both Cabela's and a guy affiliated with Warn, regarding that winch I've got on order. Apparently they're phasing out the M-series and the pricing in Cabela's was for a few that they had on closeout, so now they're on infinite backorder because that part number doesn't exist anymore.

They offered to send me a VR8000 instead:

Which is part of their new 'entry level' series...they basically got rid of the M-series and replaced it with the VR-series and the Premium series. They usually go for $479+shipping so it's not as good a deal as I originally thought, especially since the winch itself isn't as good, but I think I might still do it anyway. I kinda need a new winch and it's still got the full Warn warranty and a series-wound motor instead of permanent magnet like I have now.

Gonna call 'em back in a little bit.

Just called, they're giving me the new one for the same price and it's in stock. So I'm basically getting $80 off in addition to using the $80 rebate. Could be worse.

edit: And apparently they wasted no time in charging my card either. :laugh:

you would think installing a header and intake would be easy but Noooo, the 4&5 intake runners got friendly with the header, im using the 93 intake, the 95 intake fits fine buts covered n grease n shit, but all is good now just gott tourque everything down

he had to choose between building that or building up/fixing/making his XJ 100% driveable/wheelable. he chose the XJ.
