THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You're not the first person I've heard say this. I've never done it, but I can see why it would be. Even riding a street bike aggressively makes you pretty tired at the end of the day so I can see how having to deal with bumps/mud/dirt/etc would make it even more complicated.

Do race bikes really weigh as little as 220lb? That's impressive. My SV's wet weight is about 390 lb right now.

if you dont pace yourself 15 minutes of hard riding will leave you exhausted

but yea. my 250sx weighs 215lbs dry.

the 11' 250sx is at 208 dry

modern 125's are closing in on 200lbs
i listen to a lot of new music... but i dont listen to the radio. so you probably dont know know it anyway.

Oh god...

i saw your jeep in a conversation about roadability and noticed you had your front axle swapped how hard was that. was it expensive i like your jeep im building my first xj, anyquestions you can answer would be helpfull how big where your springs in the front i swapped mine to coils in the rear and i need to know how tall the springs need to be to clear 37's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Poor guy.

Oh, another thing about my front axle.

I noticed that if the knuckle is turned, when the axleshaft binds it wants to turn the knuckle straight. I was talking to Mark about this and he agreed that it might mean the u-joint is out of phase with the kingpin? Which in turn might mean the spindle IS crushing the stub shaft? The inner shaft looks like it's RIGHT up against the axletube.

So is the limit of riding hard talent or athletecism? I know the big races last longer than 15 minutes and they're balls to the wall...

Sounds like it's time to have some fun. But I could never be that big of a jerk. It's just fun to think about it.

motocross races last like 15 minutes.

the hare scrambles i used to do would last 3-4 hours (if you were quick)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think Scotty has done those hare scrambles too. He said they're so much fun but so tiring.

I drove my car for the first time since last Thursday and looking at the weather forecast, it will be the last time for another week or more. Nothing like getting 40-50 mpg and being one of the fastest things on the road.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damnit. Cornhole canceled due to weather.. Now I REALLY don't want to stick around for my 4:30 call. Hopefully that gets canceled too.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I miss riding so much granted I never raced but when me and my buddies rode we were basically racing through the trails to where ever we were going and we would ride for hours on end. A day of riding is more tiring then anything

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This is making me want to keep the XT now. But for the amount of time I get to ride it I would be better off letting someone else have it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i miss my 4 wheeler. wish i still had it sometimes but i never rode the damn thing. ended up selling it to buy axles

riding on long island doesnt count. you guys don't know what rock gardens are like

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't think I'd ever buy an ATV unless it was intended to be a utility vehicle rather than a toy.

I could definitely see myself getting a dirtbike. Just what I need... another moneypit.
