Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah Chris that's what o was thinking. I always bundle up when rec wheeling.

I agree with Chris's standpoint about the windshield...not to mention i prefer wheeling doorless regardless of the weather, and 90% of the rigs in DWE i wheel with are caged and windshieldless. You just bundle up and its a good time

As long as I've been wheeling, I've never put the windows up, regardless of circumstances. Just preference I guess.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Even if I hate it, the door windows are one bolt, and the rear window pops in. I always have my father to help with the windshield too. Not to mention I get all the supplies to install it for free.

Day 4 no coffee... can I do it? Doesn't feel like it right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've spent yesterday afternoon and all day today so far doing other people's jobs. Which is mostly doing quotes & entering orders for spare parts and replacement units, nothing exciting.

Problem is, it's our policy that we try and get any parts orders out the same day, as long as we get the order by 3 PMish. (<-- attn Ballistic Fab) So I gotta enter those as soon as we get them.

Replacement units are the same thing, I need to enter those as soon as I get them so the motors get on our shop schedule, parts are reserved/ordered, etc.

While entering orders is a good thing, because it means we're making money and people are buying our stuff, it's totally prevented me from doing my *real* job here for the last day and a half, which means I get a lot of phone calls I don't have answers for yet, and a backlog of like 5 voicemails I haven't listened to.

"Hey Chris, do you have anything yet on that new application I left you a message about?"
"Nope."
"...um, alright."

Fun times.

$5.26/ft? Jesus! How many feet is that quote for?

I'd call around some other places, that seems steep.

Mah old axles in that xj.

I drink Starbucks Sumatra at work. We've got a coffee pool, $10/mo for as much as you want. I don't really take advantage of it nearly as much as others do. I drink a mug a day, at most. I've found it messes with my appetite...

Tubing prices just jumped up some, and there's another expected spike just before next winter I hear. Compared to the roughly $3.50-4 price before the first increase, that's not too bad I think. Travis, did you do thru MK?

:looser:
All I was saying was get a 2nd or 3rd quote. 15 min could cave you hundreds on tubing prices. :D

I'll bet he did, it could also be the delivery charges because of the distance? IDK, but I think there is a place just over the border in NH from him, might be worth checking out. I don't remember the name though.
