THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Link to company website? I'll look into it. NH would be awesome.

I think it's just this year that's screwed up because being a government worker is one of the most stable jobs there is. If the DoD shuts down, there's a good chance a lot of the contracting companies (read: Raytheon, General Dynamics, etc) will too. Maybe not right away, but it's going to hurt.

you mean if the DoD has a furlough?

Not going to mean crap for us. It's not like they feed us money week by week, we just bill them per contract.

If the DoD shuts down for good then yeah that's a huge chunk. But you'd be surprised how much international and non defense related work we do.

I wanna work all day, come home to a box of 60 parts, and build 5th bolt knuckles. Then, to prove Mark wrong, I gotta start swapping t-cases this weekend.

I haven't paid one off recently but I am planning on doing it within the next 2-3 weeks. I talked to the bank and they said it could take up to 2 weeks however if I call the bank's title agency (or whatever they called it) I may be able to expedite that. They said I could call and say "I will be paying off my car next week and need the title ASAP, could you start the process to get it printed, etc so it can be mailed as soon as the car is paid off"

No clue if all banks will tell you that you can do that (I have my loan with Harbor One credit union) but it may be worth a try if you need the title quick.

It took a couple of weeks for the title to come in on my parents vehicles after they did. Make sure they send it out, we had my dads old truck paid off for 6 years before we realized we didn't have it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

does anyone have a kiddie pool they are willing to donate to the cause of watching chicks wrestle in goo inside it?

as for goo. does anyone have a means to make a shit ton of jello in a short amount of time?

ky jelly might be a little expensive (old school taught me this)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't know about most people but I have never had this problem. Ever.
happens to me like, once every six months to a year, usually when I'm sick and coughing a lot.

I can't wait to get the hell out of here.

As usual the weather is amazing and I am sitting in my cube. 1700 can't come soon enough.

Buying two sets of these. I'd imagine they're pretty standard and will work for pretty much any rubber hose?

I know it says AN-3 (3/16") so I think I'm good.

I think so. Might make tightening the fittings a pain, they'll spin in that hole quite nicely. Some hoses (a lot of OEM hoses) have a hex end that goes into the clip with one corner rounded so you can only put it in the right way.

vaseline, maybe thinned out with small amounts of mineral oil. Probably expensive but still not as expensive as ky jelly. For the jello, buy large quantities (see if you can get base gelatin powder in bulk, add food coloring as desired?) and get a 55 gallon drum, set a fire under it and get the water boiling then add the gelatin as usual and chill. Chilling might be a problem, though it still gets pretty cool at night right now so maybe just start the fire at 5-6pm, pour gelatin at ~8pm, and put the fire out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think we are saving this til a summer party.

i found a place that sells 5 lb bags of jello which is supposed to be good for like 25 gallons. just need a bigass fridge, or lots of fridges

Huh...?

It's not for tightening it. It's just a retaining tab. Have you ever done a rear soft line on an XJ?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah it sucks i need my title before i can get a check from the insurance company for my bike, the bank said they send it over to the registry electronically and then the registry prints it out and sends it out.

Yes, I know it's just a retaining tab. That's what I'm saying, the OEM ones have a hex shaped hole, the hex shaped end on the (OEM) line fits into it and then clips down so you can be lazy and only use the line wrench. You can obviously just stick a pair of vise grips on it though.
