In short, no. But I've always wanted to give it a try. Are you going to run C25 or something different?

I've seen that site before but never had a reason to order from them. It's nice to know they're good to deal with.

I'm gonna try it first with C25...I don't have a whole lotta scrap to sacrifice though.

It's nothing structural, just needs to be watertight.

I looked at the link. I think I know what/why you're building it...

Someday when I do the exhaust on my XJ I want to do it out of stainless tubing and I'd love to be able to MIG it with SS wire. Thanks for being a guinea pig.

Listening to Pandora ... I dig how much live music they play rather than the stuff off the albums.

Anyone ever use stainless MIG wire? I just got some for a project I'm building tonight....

Welds just like regular first/last time I did some. I was just playing around on scraps and didnt notice a difference.

It's nothing structural, just needs to be watertight.

A water/air tight weld is alot tougher to get then structural. You'll probably have to do some touch-up afterwards. Water might be more forgiven though, any time Ive welded something to be air tight, Ive always found spots to touch up after a quick pressure test.

I always figured it was "the man geraaad" geraaad being a masshole named Gerhard.

Anyone know for sure what o2 bungs are threaded for and if renix vs HO are different? I think they're all M18x1.5 but I'm not sure.

Bingo. Kinda.

Geraaad = how my old HS teacher (mis)pronounced "gerhard". When I corrected him he said "nope, it's Geraaad" and even went so far as to spell it out on the board. I used "themangeraaad" this as an old account somewhere while I was in HS and just carried it over to when I signed up here so I didn't have to remember two different user names.

Tempted to get it since I was trying to buy used for $100 and figure if I can get one new for $180 it might be worth it.


Edit: WTF. I haven't had a bloody nose in years and now I have had two today... and I had one per side so I know it's not just some stupid cut that re-opened, two different things.

im an idiot i had quite the eventful day went and ordered my toyota parts and went to walmart on the way home the jeep over heated cuz i forgot the coolant cap when i filled the tank. now it isnt getting any coolant through the thermostat so time to replace that tomorrow had to get a tow home
