THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've never had a vehicle fast enough or handled well enough to run from... anything. Well, other than the R6 I had for about 100miles but I don't count that. I went from a 2.3L Ranger, then the Jeep that was lifted a few months after getting it on the road, a VW Fox with an 8v 1.8L and a 4 speed, and now a Civic. I don't stand a chance in running.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had my parent's grand marquis on the highway doing a consistant 100-110 mph all the way down to RI and it was practically idling and smooth as a cloud.

Marshmellow suspension and 2.XX gearing FTW.

It was when Carmelo and I were going to that place where everyone was winning the cheap beer/appetizers every week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

weerrdd. if i can use a WJ one too and those are cheap to put in my truck i'll rock one of those for extra bling factor.
Got an xj one, 5531 4927 / 5GL4 41AZ AA is the part number. 25 bucks
1. Put airbag on ground with long wire
2. Put a small pan on top of airbag
3. Fill pan with a quantity of gasoline
4. Light gasoline on fire (just the surface will burn)
5. Retreat to a safe distance
6. Trigger airbag
7. Enjoy resulting mushroom cloud
I like this. We made a mushroom cloud with a 3/4 full lifewater bottle carefully placed so all the gas was boiling and under high pressure by the time it melted through. It shot the cap like 20 feet, on fire, and the mushroom cloud was as tall as my house. I'm shocked the FD didn't show up.
I have to take a course all day saturday so i don't lose my liscense!!!

for altered vehicle height, no doors and improper equiptment tickets
Altered vehicle height? How tall, you can probably fight that.
No doors? Latching device!
Improper equipment... uhh I think they got you there.
Perfect you might get high fives or what ever crazy handshake they using that week.

probably be sorta like hanging out at sams pullapart
Speaking of which I was bullshitting with some dude pulling shit off a cherokee a few hours ago and ended up selling him a 96- fender and a header panel out of my storage unit for 25 bucks. And I scored a 97+ white header panel to eventually do a 97+ swap on the mj with.
My mom is planning to move to NH. I don't know when but it would be in a nice house with a garage, tons of wooded area around it, no neighbors, and not in Massachusetts. I would seriously consider moving there, although it's in the middle of nowhere. I XXXXing hate this shithole apartment I live in, the gay ass school I go to and this bullshit I have to pay out the ass for.
Agreed. Only reason I can stand southbridge is that its western enough that no one seems to give a shit what I do. Aside from my hateful neighbor that is, and I don't care what she thinks.

Also known as a Sobe bomb. :D

You'll definitely have to give the airbag one a shot...actually I think I'm tagged in the video of it on facebook somewhere.

o an i know how to get a sticker, my grandfather has owned a inspection station for 45 years, just think its bs i need to pay the state any extra to drive my jeep

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jesus, you do concrete too? I'm gonna have some stupid questions and quite possibly a paying project for you soon...
We do just about everything from clearing the lots, right up to planting the grass, except for the plumbing and the electrical.
Eh, I'm a fan of pulling over. Makes their day easier and I have a couple goals in life. One of them is to not go to jail.
Agreed, once when I was young, I ran, but I have always drove things that stand out somewhat, so I know better than to think I can get away with it.
The 2 times I have been pulled over in the last 3 years, I have not gotten a ticket because of my CCW permit. I always hand the cop my permit with my license, and let them know if I am carrying or not, and they apreciate it enough to let me go with a verbal warning.

Radios are faster than engines every time of the day. Everything I've owned has stood out at least a little bit.

Someday when I get mine I'll probably do the same.

I'm going on almost a year since my last ticket and that was a RI townie. Nice guy, and I think he had decent reason to pull me over in hindsight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It comes up when they run your license, and I would rather let them know up front than have them come back from the cruiser with their gun ready. Most people dont tell the cop, and they get to deal with a jumpy cop who thinks you might have a gun.
Both of my times being pulled over were in the middle of the night, where I didn't slow down when the speed limit dropped. I saw the cruiser, and pulled over as soon as the lights came on.

That's a good principle. Not that you're trying to rub it in his face that you might be carrying, but protecting him and letting him know you're not gonna jump out and draw down on him haha.

I always make a point to pull over as soon as I see the lights too. Them knowing that you're cooperative goes a long way.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have had a gun in my face once, and I would prefer not to repeat it.
I got pulled over in mass about 6 years ago when I was living there for school. I was driving late at night, and saw blue lights in the background. In CT, blue lights are for volunteer firefighters, so I kept going, and was going to pull over when they got closer. Next thing I know, the spotlight is on me, so I pull over, and a cop comes up to me with his gun drawn, screaming at me for trying to run. I explained to him that I don't make it a habit to pull over and wait for volunteer firefighters. It progressed to him calling for backup and wanting to search my truck. His backup turned out to be the sergeant on duty, who asked me my story, then proceeded to ream out the cop on the side of the road, made him apologize, and told me to have a good night.

Interesting, I wasn't told that on my LTC course. It was brought up what happens if you are pulled over and carrying, and the instructor said "don't do anything. They'll be better off not knowing of worrying if you have a gun on you. Now if you need to step out of the vehicle, that is when you say 'Officer, I am licensed to carry a firearm, and am doing so right now. How would you like me to proceed?'"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

every now and then im flying down route 6 in my town without knowing it and pass a cop. idk if they pursue me or not, but i usually duck into a backroad if that happens. i always know someone who lives within a mile of where i am at any time in town lol. so that would be my excuse if i got caught "oh i was just running to my buddies house"

i had a state cop pull me out of my jeep and pat me down because he thought i was smoking weed. that was bullshit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Appearently razor blades go thru gloves and easily into the palm of you hand. Who knew? They also do a good job at making you lose motivation to work on rear fenders. Hopefully, theres some nice weather in the forcast soon so I can weld everything on the PS back together.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

both of my 5150's were pulled apart

i need rear limit straps

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got tboned by an 89 grand marquis doing 20mph

Result: his grille and bumper are XXXXed, my steering box bolts are busted and I have a bit of web wheeling body damage on the door and rocker panel. Looks like the durango box just got moved up the list...
