It looks brown like you aren't getting any gas on those. Are you holding it too far away? Also looks cold. Turn it way up to the max and make sure you're holding it close enough and have the regulator set right.

the regulator is set for 18psi(might bump it to 20 tomorow), and i do belive i was holding it a lil to far away did try later to use max power and it seemed better, ill try all that tomorow

Ya just hold it closer then, 18psi is more than enough. For something thickish like you're welding on you can crank it up all the way.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think a T18 is a direct swap for my TH400. As in same cross member, driveshafts etc etc...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rob I did the same thing with my hobart SWITCH THE POLARITY!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm going to suggest hold it closer and turn down the wire speed. But I weld like shit so take it with a pound of salt.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Interesting, I wasn't told that on my LTC course. It was brought up what happens if you are pulled over and carrying, and the instructor said "don't do anything. They'll be better off not knowing of worrying if you have a gun on you. Now if you need to step out of the vehicle, that is when you say 'Officer, I am licensed to carry a firearm, and am doing so right now. How would you like me to proceed?'"
Its not something that's part of the NRA course, cant say about other courses. From talking with some friends that are state troopers, they say that a LTC will show up if they run your license, so the way I see it is its better to get it out in the open, carrying or not.
I could see not mentioning it in Mass with the way guns are viewed in certain areas. It may do more harm than good.
Now if the gun is in the vehicle, out of sight and out of reach, its none of their damn business, unless they ask you if there is a gun in the vehicle. The way the law reads is that if it is on you, or easily accessible from your seat, you are considered to be carrying.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You switched it when you switched to gas? of so the less wirespeed
yeah it got swiched when i went to gas, ive tried alot less wire speed and holding the gun closer and it still super sucks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i tore a hose in the gun (by the base of it) on my 140 causing all the gas to escape there and not at the end of it.

took like 4 years to do that though, and yours is new. but make sure gas is coming out where its sposed to come out

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

maybee it has alot to do with the .025 wire, i did do sheet metal a couple months ago with same setup and it was XXXXin awsome, now it sucks(i was welding 1/8 wall 1x1 in the pics)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
