Not worth the hassle converting to SRW. You'd probably need a new rear axle. Plus from the sounds of it it was beat on. No mentioning of mileage either.

If they dont list it, then it means it high miles. Id rather them just come out with it in the first place.

A friend of my dads is short for cash and has an older camper (winnebago maybe?) that Im thinking of buying/stripping/scrapping. It has a mopar BB in it. If it is a manual, those the parts you need? I want it because he had it converted to 4WD and theres a fresh HP60 sitting under the front of it.

I don't think they ever put manuals in motorhomes. If he swapped it in, then it doesn't matter what big block came in front of it as long as it was a big block. They all shared the same bellhousing pattern.

Probably a 440...could be a 400 though.

Pretty sure they also got beefier 727s.

He had some drivetrain work/conversion done when they made it 4WD. IF it is a manual, you want?

That thought already came to me!!! I doubt the thing runs but probably could, been sitting for like 2 or 3 years. Im basically wanna buy it for a couple hundred bucks, take all the drivetrain for myself, scrap the rest to get my couple hundred bucks back. My buying pitch is gunna be that he can keep whatever he wants from the interior and such.
