THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, I'm seriously considering that 2 post lift on NEOW, I need to discuss things with my dad tomorrow morning. Thats a pretty damn good price.
7,000 lbs capacity? Not even close to interested. It wouldn't lift my lawn tractor (ok, maybe it would but I'd limit myself to lifting that and my XJ).

Keep looking for a 12/14K lbs version. Or at least a 9K version. Most 1/2 ton trucks or SUVs would be over or at the 7k lbs.
Sam, I need to attach the front of my Jeep to a tree then slam it in reverse to undo some of the crumpling that tree in your yard did. Then we should do some wheeling soon, I have a friend who has an '08 JK Rubi who wants to take it out (but doesn't want to do anything too hardcore with it). Mini-man could come too. Hell Bill should come as well.
When/Where?
a senior IT dev doesnt know what a MAC address is? really? where do they find these people..
Really? How is that even possible?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no idea. i got a call to clear port security in "ohio headquarters, 6th floor, tuesday or wednesday of last week." now i have like 12 port sec violations from there in that time so i ask, whats the mac address of the pc?

"the what? how do i find that?"

hes using a laptop so i tell him, "flip it over, you'll see a sticker that says physical address or mac address, one for wired and one for wireless"

after 10 minutes of holding i just reset every port and he was able to log in. tards i tell you. yet i'm a lowely helpdesk tech. and he tripped port security last thursday lol

I highly doubt either of our trucks are over 7k lbs (unloaded duh). I joke about it, but I don't think that's possible.

That said, I'm with you. I wouldn't want a 7k one either since my truck is probably over 6k lbs.

Really? How is that even possible?

x2, wtf?

I don't have to hook up anything right now. It's a manual clutch setup, there's just a fork hanging out the side of it. I have to make myself a hydraulic setup.
Awesome. Sounds plenty doable.
See signature

Mark, sweet pics. I like the first one the best. They're nice and sharp too.

Ya you're right, my truck weighs.... oh ya that's right...

Just saying, not everyone has huge ass trucks like you guys.

When/Where?
Not sure yet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

In my driveway: 3 Cherokees, 1 Wrangler, 1 Toyota Highlander, 1 Honda Civic, 1 Toyota Corolla.

WTF! I just went to receive Colin's text message, and now every single one of my other text messages are gone. I specifically tried saving this phone because I wanted to keep the thousands of text messages I had.

I F'ing hate system updates, every time verizon has sent me a system update, it has messed my phone up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I owned your phone?

Sorry d00d.

I'd snag the lift with those vehicles. It would be pretty sweet. Is there enough room in your garage...?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, your message is the only one right now, I'm tempted to delete it since its from you though... :D

Ya I would need to move the garage door up, but other than that it would fit like butter.

Just uploaded the pics from my dad's TJ

:dunno: If I close my eyes it looks fine.

I have 5 friends on facebook whose birthday is today. Weird.

Empty curb weight:
Yours: 5789lbs
Mine: 5994lbs
Add 30gal of diesel fuel: 215lbs
That puts us both over 6k lbs without adding anything to the trucks (tonneau, bedliner, parts, whatever is on the back seat).

I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the limit of a lift I'd be putting my life under. Even a 9k lbs lift seems sketchy to me lifting a truck like ours. No way you'd ever get Ross's old man's truck on a lift like that either (not that I'd ever want to own something that big)

Exactly, but why limit yourself?

Although for that price it might be worth it given that the Highlander is probably the heaviest vehicle it'll lift.
Not sure yet.
Let me know.
Yeah I think you'd be fine with it.

I don't remember all the vehicles you have, but I doubt any of them weigh more than 5k lbs.
Your Ramcharger was likely close to over that, empty curb weight for a 4x4, V8 is listed at 4440 lbs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya I was thinking that, did I hit a magic number that was just like "EFFF YOUUUU!" ?

I have the "delete old messages" switched off in the options. 1st time it has deleted anything in over a year.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sounds like you have a promotion available. Shit I knew that stuff in high school.

Mark, did it rot through from the inside? Looks to me like the failure mode is that the weld burns the galvanizing and any other coatings off the inside of the tube, leaving it wide open for rust to start. This is why I don't like the idea of welding stiffeners on without having a way to seal the frame rail, the same exact thing happens to the metal and it's just as vulnerable to rust.
