I told him the same thing, but for the $30-40 it would cost in gas (+ beer?) he's almost halfway to buying his own used drill press.

Yup. 15min and a whopping $750 later, and I still have closing costs coming. In fairness $360 of that goes towards the sale price.

I can do it myself for myself. The bank requires their own search at my expense.

I've heard some horror stories on titles. For example, one town over to me has a church in the center of town, they want to move and do something else with the land. BUT, in the early 1800s the lands was sold to the church and in the deed it was put something to the effect of "If the land was not use to promote or hold Catholic services for a period of more than 2 years the land will be returning the original owner." Can you imagine that mess or trying to tract down heirs for something almost 200 years back?

At any rate not much I can do, and I'm surely not changing banks as I'm locked in at a very decent rate and they've been nothing but helpful thus far.
I guess I missed something.

you can use mine anytime you want, it's sitting in my kitchen with an XJ front driveshaft leaning on it right now. Pick it up (or just use it here) and drop it off again, free. I have to find a new chuck key for it and it doesn't go very slow though.

reading the rcrocs race rules... my old full face moto helmet is toast.. idk if i wanna rock my 3/4 face one i used to autox with the obnoxiously huge face shield. neck braces? damn this shit is serious. and the fire suit i have is mad old.. idk where the eff the fire rating is on it.

I just wear a regular motox helmet with clear goggles. No tearoffs.

Plus as soon as the rest of "the population" found out why I was in there I'd be the target for everything.
