Did you guys take a history class? Most of us would have been drafted and lucky to come home in one piece. We've had it easy compared to what our great grand parents, grand parents, and even our parents had. There's a lot of bad shit happening today, but I think you're wrong if you thought it wasn't happening back then. The world is just more connected so it makes it feel worse.

We're just talking about cars and daydreaming, no need to bring reality into it.
The only cool thing from the 40s was the Dodge Power Wagon.
Everything else I've seen was retarded.
Early 60s max wedges were awesome. 413/426s with push-button 727s. YES PLEASE. Saw one of these make an SRT-4 look like it was standing still.
Obviously my favorite in the late 60s...
Then there were the badass wing cars
Everything in the early 70s was awesome (A, B, and E bodies).
And the trucks got awesome in the 70s too (aka Ramchargers)

Considering that I have a cushy job that pays well and enjoy every day...not sure I would win that or would win it for an amount of money that's worth it.
I enjoy my freedom and my life right now.
But my bottom dollar would have to be about $80M.

I'm with Colin (other than the current cushy job part). You couldn't pay me anything to make me do that. I've got a couple buddies that work in the system (one in a minimum security, one in a max) and after hearing them talk no way I'd want part of that. Plus as soon as the rest of "the population" found out why I was in there I'd be the target for everything.
Edit: I don't agree with his bottom dollar though. I don't think I'd consider it for anything.
