THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark, are you going to swap the newer interior/harness over too?

A lot of work but would be sweet.

Oh and Ross, I was just looking at the Jana 87 thread.

Can you say Jana 87 shaved to D60 clearance?

Mother of god...

Soo many ideas have rolled thru my head. F&R hybrid shaved 70 center sections with rock outers. Some of the 70 centers have a ton you can shave off. If you got the 80 ring gear turned down some too, you could really gain some clearance.

I like his girdle covers too, very badass.

Ditto on the last part.

I should totally get a girdle cover for my CTD if he makes them for a D80.

D80 with D110 gears

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, I was thinking of doing the interior swap too. It would be sweet, and I have two of everything of a 99 interior. It would also allow me to really see what is what in terms of body, and it would be eaisest since the 99 engine and harness would be there.

Oh, and plans would be plate the ever lifing hell out of the frame, ROCKER PROTECTION, halo cage, swap all axles and tcase from green jeep, new bumpers

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't haggle. I wait till the price is what I consider reasonable and then I pay it. If it is ridiculous I don't pay it.

Who is this kelsey personage who friended me on fb?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Aww hell...

Ill start one after I have already built it, that way you guys can't crash it into a brick building like Ross's.

For the D-max:

My 14b shave part is cooler then any build thread you can try to make.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just keep the progress up and it won't happen.

If you let the progress come to almost a grinding halt like Ross and Anthony's, then you leave the door wide open for comments.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dude, the recipe is simple as hell. Try it for your next slow cooker experiment, it's cheap. You get over 3 lbs of pulled pork for less than 10 bucks.

- half a bone-in pork shoulder/boston butt (~3.75 lbs)
- one whole chopped white onion
- one can chipotles in adobo sauce
- half a jar of salsa verde (green salsa)

1. Put pork shoulder in slow cooker
2. Mince about half the peppers from the chipotle/adobo can (vary to taste)
3. Spread minced peppers on top of pork
4. Dump the rest of the adobo sauce over the pork
5. Pat chopped onions into the top of the pork; fit whatever you can, and just dump the rest of 'em around it
6. Pour the half jar of salsa over everything
7. Cover and cook on low for ~8+ hours, don't even look at it

8. Remove pork & shred (it will probably fall apart even just taking it out)
9. Strain the onions/peppers out of the leftover liquid and mix with shredded pork (you can discard the liquid)
10. Put the whole mess in a broiling pan (I use the foil ones) and broil on high for 5 minutes. This will start to crisp the pork & fat.
11. Remove, stir, broil on high again for 5 minutes
12. Remove, stir, broil on high again for 5 minutes
13. (repeat til satisfied)
14. Enjoy! :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't think the coil would be bad if it's mis firing. Wouldn't it be plugs/wires/distributor? The coil only has one output on it, so if it was bad wouldn't it just not run at all, or do I have this wrong?
A cracked coil can cause a random misfire. I agree a bad cap is more likely, but I have had 2 coils go bad on me so its not out of the question.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thanks to someone I now have to stop at the butcher on the way home.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Butcher is a easier/closer stop than hitting up the supermarket. By the time I drive to the supermarket the money I spent in fuel might as well just have paid for the $1-3 cost difference at the butcher.

Thanks for the note on the fat, I would have gotten something with little on it.
