THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:puke: No thanks. It might be fun to ride, but I can nearly guarantee you'll be uncomfortable on it and the suspension won't handle your weight well. I'm also not a fan of yeller.

I can't tell from the pic and I don't know the model bike very well, but is it a triple or i4? I would never recommend an i4 for a first bike.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My backpacking trip in July will be 3 days, 2 nights. We'll be above tree line for most of the 1st day, all of day #2, and most of day #3 :D

Night #1 will be spent here. I can't wait to watch the sunset and rise from nearly atop Mt. Washington :)

I couldn't figure out if it was the 105 or 105B.

B?!?! I know they have different degree and CLR dies, but WTF is a B version?

Not many bikes are gunna be comfy for me, or even hold me :gee:

If I had a chance to pick up a reasonable bike for under like $2k, I might get one to save on gas and such. I only go around town or up to NH, if gas goes up, a bike would be nice.

Above the treeline in the Rockies is quite an experience.
I bet. Same with Alaska. Same with anywhere above tree line. It's a whole different climate, but I've noticed that the places above tree line are all sort of similar.

Above the treeline in CO > Above the treeline in NH.

12000+ ft > 6288 ft.
Just because it's higher doesn't make it cooler. Mt Washington has more prominence than most of the mountains in the Rockies. They're just different places to go in general. If you want to buy me a plane ticket to CO, I'll go check it out. For now, I'm happy with the trip I have planned. It's a million times better than sitting on my ass at work.

Speaking of Mt. Washington, you know what really grinds my gears? Tourists who get out of their cars or off the Cog and go stand on the summit taking pictures of themselves. They didn't earn it.

My father took the Cog up there with my mother and sister and they have pictures.

I was planning on riding the snow coach up there in the winter with Kate.

Who the hell cares.
