Speaking of Mt. Washington, you know what really grinds my gears? Tourists who get out of their cars or off the Cog and go stand on the summit taking pictures of themselves. They didn't earn it.

Hike it, then stand in line with all the people who didn't earn it. You'll see what I mean. It's not anything I lost sleep over, but it was frustrating at the time.

It's weird, there is actually a line that forms for people to stand on the little rock pile that is the summit.

Maybe the day we did it was just really busy... but I had to wait like 15 minutes. At least I didn't have to pay anything. I probably would have said screw it, at that point.

the original settlers were so hardcore they didn't take pictures at all. It's not because cameras hadn't been invented yet, it's because they knew they didn't deserve it.

Charter's automated system just called me for the second day in a row, with caller ID blocked, to tell me there was something important about my account they had to discuss with me, then hung up. Why do these idiots call me and tell me to call them instead of just friggin calling me? I called back and ended up with broken-english tech support from India who said their name was Melissa, and insisted it was just some update they were pushing out and that I should ignore it. Sure. Thanks for calling my cellphone while I'm at work over stupid shit... jackholes. If they call again there is going to be hell to pay.

That's like me building my MJ outside in the 10* weather while you build yours in a heated garage and saying "you didn't earn it".

Shoulda gone in the winter, last time I was up there it was friggin cold, 50mph winds gusting to 80, the summit was deserted because most people were inside or busy holding onto the railings for dear life.

i climbed mt washington when i was 11, it was a snowstorm for the last 1000 feet

you did it when you were like 20something

you didn't earn it

i didnt even want my pic at the pile of rock summit. i just wanted to sleep.

WTF, one of the lights decided to blow up in my container. Spare 8' HD light fixture to the rescue!!! I did have to go get another set of blubs though, but I gots light again!!!

You think someone like Cory who had a TJ on 42s built by Bob at Baystate Offroad didn't deserve to be wheeling on the same trails as someone like Lucas Murphy who engineered and built his rig by himself?
