the thing i dont like is that the 2.0s come with removable heims in the mounts, and the 2.5s you need to order those extra... bc i'd like to run 2.5s up front for the few extra bucks but when i add the heims its another 70ish bucks extra per shock over the 2.0s. :looney:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well that meeting was full of fireworks.

Remember that turd of a piece of software I nearly quit over? Well, everyone involved now agrees that it is a turd. I called a meeting to decide what we should do with it next and the original architect got real worked up and tried to suggest killing the software project entirely, I think he just wants to bury it and forget it ever happened.

I'm partially responsible for the damn thing again as a result, but... at least I have some leeway to try and dump the junk instead of turd polishing more.

Gotta love big company politics. The sun is shining and I want to be outside.

Debating it. Kinda far away and kinda rushes my timetable a little bit, but I think it's doable. 12-hour drive, leave thursday night, prerun friday, race saturday, helldrive home sunday.

You basically get 2 hours to put down as much distance as you can. :D

The heims are removeable either way. The choice is between the cast aluminum parts or the billet aluminum parts.

you told me 2.5's would be a waste of my money

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My CTD uses stem mounts with a ~10 gauge tripod mounted to the frame.

So incorrect on stem mounts = sheetmetal.
how is 10 gauge sheet metal not sheet metal? :dunno:

:D yeah, I see your point. My personal limit for calling something "stupid sheet metal" is around 12 or 14 gauge.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

10 gauge was just a thickness I threw out. It's thicker than 1/8", but not as thick as 3/16".

Yeah I'd agree. The 14ga I used for my rear wheel wells is pretty damn stiff, but I wouldn't trust it for anything more than what I used it for.

Not sure I really want to know what a set of RCV's for that TTB is gonna cost.

This thing better XXXXing work awesome, as much as I'm obsessing over it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tomorrow I'll be pissing away ~$2750 on gears/axles/lockers/etc.

Here's my quote, let me know if you guys think I'm missing anything...

I already have front 5.38s.

- Front TenF inners and outers with Spicer x806s
- 35-spline drive slugs
- D60 ARB RD35 35-spline (4.56+)
- D60 Spartan 35-spline
- Rear 35-spline Yukon FF shafts (cutting these to length myself)
- LP60 5.38s
- Front and rear master install kits (front comes with inner seals)
- 2 D60 lubelockers
- Couple extra pinion nuts for setup

ask them about RCVs made to fit a 9" center for independent suspension.. so dual RCV joints per shaft.... so i'll know if my maniacal buggy idea will work..
