THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You don't want the pushrod at much of an angle. You'll wear it out fast.
I was afraid of that... guess I'll cut/weld the next one if it doesn't line up properly.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmmmm should i get out of bed to make some tasty frech toast? or lay in bed till i have work..... decisions decisions...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Huh, really?

That seems kind of weird, you didn't mention that was what you were trying to do, or me at all when you posted that.

That "ghetto" set up was being resourceful, its something that you need to be when working on cars. I've done stuff like that before, Stilson wrench with long pipe over the handle for more torque. You should have seen how I pressed the studs and hub out of my front rotors, and how I reinstalled new ones using my HF press. It might have been scary, and it might have involved a piece of a cherokee engine mount, but I can't really say for sure...

Why would I give you crap for using a vice as a vise?

You posting pictures of a vise with dirt on it, then all dusted off, then of it opened, and then of it closed on the other hand...well I'm sure we all know how a vise works. :D
Yeah, it was a bad attempt at that, but that picture did get at least one comment about how big it is.

I whacked the studs out of my D70 hubs with a 3 lb sledge. I never understood why people spent so much time being delicate with that.

I can't keep all these vii straight (Is that German for Wii?)

:dunce:
FML. Moving 15 armoires, a 14b, and a D30 was not the best idea yesterday. My lower back is seeking revenege on me this morning.
I'll bet it was the D30 that put you over the edge :looney:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and PSC is friggin AWESOME.

I wanted to exchange my 3/4 x 3/4 RHT heims for some 3/4 x 5/8 RHT heims since my high steer arms are drilled to 5/8 and it keeps all my major bolts 5/8 (aka one socket fits all).

They sent me 3/4 x 5/8 LHT heims instead (what I already had). I called yesterday and left a message saying I wanted to exchange them again but didn't want to pay for shipping.

Call up this morning, they already sent out 3/4 x 5/8 RHT heims for no charge and I don't have to send anything back to them.

Whos delicate about pounding out studs...?
I dunno, but I wouldn't even take the time to use a press to get them out. Reinstalling them... that's another thing all together.

Pretty awesome. I look forward to dealing with them (someday)

Using a press to take them out is a waste of time.

People use a brass drift/hammer without a problem to send them back in.

I let my parts guy handle reinstalling since he offered.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, and crappy pic but Carmelo had a leftover piece of hitch tubing off his Honcho. I just have to cut some of the excess crap off. It literally fit like perfect.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

did you know you can wheel 8" of lift and 35's hard for 7 years and the stock steering holds up fine?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's gonna get hung up on everything. :D

I had to use a press to do the studs on my front hubs...it needed to be supported funny to keep the rotor & hub flush, and there was no way swinging a hammer at it was gonna work.

He must have gotten the upgraded steering package from the factory. Where's this thread?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You could recess the hitch into the bumper, but that's a lot more work than burning it home.

Not that much more work...? Like 3-4 cuts.

It would have to stick out far enough from the bumper to get a pin in.

Then I'd have to be worried about it getting caught when I'm dropping off something/climbing something steep.

Still not sure how I want to do it.

I guess I COULD do d-ring tabs.
