Pickup details:He has Walbro pickups, but he used an external pump with the pickup tubes already part of the cell I believe. Not 100% sure how he did his, but he can probably chime in.
- Messed around with the pickups on the cell again.
I got asked about how I was adapting to the 5/16" line on the inside. Well, after trying to find an inexpensive way that was short enough not to interfere with the sump, I came up with nada.Here's what I ended up with;
Summit Bulkhead fitting -> Earl's -8 To -6 AN Female Swivel -> Aeromotive -6 AN to 5/16" hose barb
The Aeromotive fitting hurt to buy, but it was really the only option I could find. I almost bought the 3/8" hose barb adapter which was significantly cheaper, but after messing with this fuel line I'm glad I didn't. It is hard enough to get it on the correct adapters.

In the tank (picture makes it seem like there is more space then there really is. Much longer and I wouldn't have room for the pickup):

I got a sawzall. It sawz all.
Don't worry, he's lost and really should be introducing himself in the RRC.
I'm not commenting on prices of things anymore (or at least for awhile).That's like $1,000 in AN fittings...
I almost converted mine over (would have had a black cage then not red). I even had Adam get me the paint codes. Then I got cheap and rather than repaint the whole thing I only did the effected areas.Adam, there's someone else in the introduce yourself thread that has an Amber Fire XJ.
TAKE THAT LOSER
sometimes I am :eyes:You're a dick

Vacuum gauge = wannabe boost gauge for the NA losers
:thumbup:Anthony, mine is the first one in that link.
I'm pretty sure I have the 7.5A one but I don't remember.
My current one (ok, I have the older generation...) is 8.5A and it's not that hard to bog it down.Get one that's at least 10 amps. Mine has the paddle-style switch and I like it a lot better than the trigger...again, mostly because of how often I use it at odd angles.
I just checked the Milwaukee site and they don't make mine anymore. That's always kinda disappointing; I'd buy the same one again instantly if it ever craps out. I fear change. :shiver:
