I'd argue that I live on the far edge of no where. There's nothing out here cept water but I'm also not close to anything.

Yeah, do the tubes. Single pass with 6011 or N55 will probably be the best. I'm betting the tubes and housing are going to be a little on the rusty side of things. 6011 is pretty forgiving of rust, but might crack. N55 or N99 would be a more appropriate thing to use.

XXXX N99 I'm not using that shit. I would use N55 if it was available cheap and I was worried for some reason. But after watching Colin weld with straight mig I think the weld pool "adopts" enough of the parent metal to not crack, especially if you heat it enough.

I love 6011, I have plenty of 6011 and 6013 on hand but would probably try 7011 as long as it was clean enough and it wasn't too hard to clean Colin's.

6011/3 feels like cheating. You can just poop it in right on rust and it takes.

7011/3 penetrates so awesomely. Maybe I'll take the time to clean mine nicely before I weld them and use this.

I'm using 6011 for all my upcoming welding on the Honcho. It's ridiculous how easy it is to weld in every position and looks like dimes after I tap off the flux.

Haha yeah it's so easy. Assuming my welds don't break off the first time I drop the thing down on it's own weight :laugh:

Got probably 2"+ at my house. I saw a minivan facing Northbound in the median that came from the Southbound lanes. It was a middle aged woman and cops were already there. I sorta chuckled and went on my way.

Then right as I was pulling into work, what pulls out and goes into the base? A black 94-95 XJ on 33's. The thing looked real clean. It made me miss driving mine
