Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damnit i woke up so late today, and class got cancelled for some reason.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i sold mine for $150 a year ago. Where were you??
in new jersey in a world war 1 trench style mudpit pulling a drivetrain out of a t-boned XJ :wierd:

I still had "not beating the crap out of it and never modifying the unibody" going on back then.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

someone buy the shitbox from me please,. im just gonna take the money and a couple paychecks and get a car

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rob, don't sell that yet, if I could get away with another vehicle, I'd do it.

Any rust on it, underbody, rockers?

Thinking maybe replace the green jeep's body with this, that way I wouldn't have to worry about dented rockers/doors/unirails when going to plate it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wonder what % of NAXJA knows who Bill and Chris are.
I always think this when ya'll use first names outside of the NAC forum. Probably should use screennames.
Only the percentage that matter
T'is true.

You keep going back and forth. Save a bit, sell the XJ, and buy a truck. Otherwise you'll be selling the car in a few months for a truck.

Imo, 2x6 box the rockers, 3/16" stiffeners(since they're already a little tweaked right?), and disregard doors, acquire more character. Not tryig to steal a sale from Rob, I'm just not sure your Green Jeep is in bad enough shape to warrant a shell swap yet. Ken's Jeeps are another story :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Agreed. Rob, hold onto it for a bit longer... sounds like you're just semi frustrated with it needing a bunch of little stuff to me. I've been in the same boat with various vehicles for a while now.

Mark, you need to beat the crap out of that thing for a LOT longer before a shell swap. Even mine has a lot of life left in it (and yes, I bought the replacement in June, I know.)

If you are just considering buying it and holding it in reserve for when it's time for a shell swap, sounds like a plan to me. I'm never against having a few backup vehicles on hand.

Just playing devils advocate, he could buy a small car, like a Honda, for cheap that needs... say an alternator or clutch, or something else cheap/relatively easy to buy and replace. Fix it, bomb around in it for a little while and saving gas and find the truck he wants, sell said car and make a couple bucks off it after saving gas $$$

As of right now, this is kind of the route I'm going with my Honda and buying my Dad's truck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what an awfully formed question:

Companies are generally financed with a mix of debt and equity. How does the riskiness of the company as perceived by the financial market changes are the mix shifts from all equity to mostly debt? Why? Would changes in perceived risk induced by changes in the debt-equity mix affect the company’s stock price?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

carry spare parts :dunno:

I'd hit the road for a cross country trip in the dirty POS today if I wanted to. I know what's wrong with it and what I can expect to try and ruin my day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if i could ever figure out all the elec bullshit with it it ,may change my mind, but i dont know right now

Your rockers are bad, but not that bad were transplanting shells is in order. Cut & replace. Rockers are easy in the scheme of things.

I didn't know that NH was so expensive to re-register a vehicle already on the road. My $0.02, buy a cheap car, spend that $300 to register it, then sell it and spend that $300 again on a truck in a couple months, doesn't seem right? :dunno:
You'll be spending money on insurance either way no matter what. You will get back any remainder you didn't use (so if you use it for 2 out of 12 months, you'll get 10 months of it back or credit toward the next vehicle).

When is the registration up for the Jeep?

Sounds like economics homework. No Thank you. Bye.

What exactly is the issue? Just a drain? Start checking the fuse panels with an amp meter for the drain.
Nice, but not $7k nice.
