Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got steel from Carmelo.

1" plate is heavy. The two pieces under it are 1/2" plate.

That post has the caliber of a Ross post right there. It says to me "Hey look what I've got"

At least we know Colin's going to make something out of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have to weigh in on the tire debate too, having first-hand (or second-hand... meaning spotting someone with the tires numerous times) experience with most of them...

Trxus MT's- Great, but thin sidewalls. Seen many sidewall punctures/pinches.
Baja Claws- OK, had lousey side-sliding tendencies on ALL surfaces off road.
Old style MT/R's- Great, until about 50% tread. Then just OK.
Kevlars- Once the "stink" is worn off (first 200 miles), work Great.
Creepies- Great, tough sidewalls, look stiff, but seem to flex well.
Pro Comp Extreme MT's- Great, sticky and flexy tire. Thin sidewalls though.
BFG AT's- Good tire for rocks. Not the best, but just somehow work. I don't like them on-road in foul weather (rain/snow/ice).
BFG MT's- OK, seem to be a well rounded tire.
TSL's- Suck... never been impressed.
Iroks- In 36's are lousey. Again, never been impressed
MTZ's- Work well from what I have seen (only one I have seen run them is Colin) but not much experience with these. Actually not sure why I don't see more of these on the trails, as it seems like it should be a really good tire.
Pitbull Rockers- Seem to work well, really tough tire (not much experience with these).

There is probably many more, but that is all I can think of right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I cant make anything outta mine cause Ive got too much of it :D My drops are a few square feet.

Colin, if youre gunna use the 1" as d-ring tabs, be carefully. Ive found some d-rings dont like to fit over 1" wide tabs, thats why I use 3/4".

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah I was thinking about that.

I'll try it out and see if I can slip it over them.

If not, then I can just grind part of it down or something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think my jeep is going to turn into twice the piece of shit it is now after one run with these.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

As a person, MJ was a bit odd. That's debatably a gross understatement. As a performer, he was one of the greatest. I kid you not that I mean it when I say he is one of the only celebrities whose work ethic and dedication that I admire. But once again, he was a bit wacked in the head.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wouldn't have hard feelings about opening up a d-ring tab 1/16" with a grinder.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

fo serious?

they only have the 37x14.5b15 and 38x13b15's left

I never really got into it all that much but maybe it's time to give it another shot. The only 2 songs I ever really liked are Land of Confusion and I Can't Dance.
