THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you do sliders I'd probably use those orbital eye bushings.

oh, and I fixed my shackle angle on one side (passenger side) when I replaced the last 3 feet of the frame rail. Just bored the hole for the shackle mounting bolt in the right location. Driver side is still a crappier shackle angle, but it makes the jeep sit level when I'm in it :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what leafs yo gots?

most aftermarket springs are a little longer than stock making for a nicer shackle angle.
Bastard pack of Rusty's 3" and Nissan Frontier. :puke: I do want to see if I can get some millitary wrap main(s) made from a local spring company because I just can not fork out $400 for new leafs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My RE springs were the same length as stock which made for a crappier shackle angle.

every re spring i have run were so sagged they made for a sweet shackle angle

3.5" pack sagged to a 1.5" and a 4.5" pack sagged to a 2"

clayton 4.5" springs are actually the 6.5" springs with a leaf taken out so they have a nicer angle.

and anthonys old piece of shit rockkrawlers had such a steep angle i had to notch out my body by the bumper mount

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think we should add a section:

Ghetto Fab
"If you've built a link suspension with 3/4" tractor supply heims or have 10" tall lift blocks under your leaf springs this forum is for you"

hmmm... sounds like they would go great on yours :roflmao:

mine makes enough funny noises with stock bushings, I don't need to help it out any.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Box in stock shackle box, make two tabs forward/down from where it is now.

Lose some lift, and have a better shackle angle.

heres my hackery

that shackle is a little too flat, but i was runnin it that way to keep my pinion angle decent while im too lazy to cut and reweld my leaf perches
Simple enough. I'll see what I have for stock in my garage and try that out. Sam, that all 1/4"?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can't wait to leave work...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was going to head to the gym after work, so I'd probably be outta here by 5:45ish.

Is that too late? I have the rear MJ bumper brackets on me too if you want those.

I was planning on leaving at 5 but anything works - gonna see how much progress I can make on the roof today, since the weather is going to be ultra lousy tomorrow. The more roof I finish tonight, the less I have to scrape snow off of the next time I work on it. If tomorrow works better no problem, but I can meet anytime.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tomorrow might work better so you don't have to wait around.

I'll probably be leaving at 5 tomorrow. I'm just going to Kate's house after work (no gym).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds like a plan to me, unless you want the pliers in a hurry.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im gonna put a 14 bolt with 3.73s and a detroit in my ford. and re gear the front to 3.73 and possibly detroit.
