THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just started making money like a month ago. i owe...(gulp) just about $22,000. basically 240 bucks a month for the next 10 years. seems like a shit ton but i have a friend who went to quinnapiac and owes like 70 grand. XXXXing insane.
Pretty sure 20-25 is about what I'm down to. I don't have the heart to look, I'll just keep paying for another year or two and then see where it's at.

Payments are 163 and 114, before I bought the house I was dumping 200 into each every month. I turned that back to the minimum when I bought the house because I figured I should put my money into more pressing things.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Drilled out my high steer arms and Adam and Carmelo came over to give me a hand breaking down the leaf springs and getting them all set.

I'm gonna have to move the rear shackle hangers up and onto the bumper when I bob the bed to get enough uptravel out of the rear.

Yeah, for just about the first two years out of college I made an average loan payment of just less than 3 times what I owed each month; just throwing a huge chunk of my pay into it. That burned the loans down quite a bit. for the past few months I have only been paying 1.5 to 2 times what I owe and banking more to help cover a down payment on a house. Soon probably cutting it back even more when I start my 401k (which I should have done year but oh well, hindsight is 50/50)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just don't want him to pull an Anthony and disappear completely.
:(

I suppose that statement is deserved. I spent the day working on the VW system rather than the Jeep (again)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

speaking of...

I just bought a used aussie locker for a d30 (once I sell the pile of WJ swap stuff I have, it'll work out to an even trade.) It's going in the MJ when I do the 4wd swap... between the snow tires, studs, and locker, it's going to be like driving a whole new jeep in the snow. Right now putting one front tire on a 3" curb results in a total loss of traction if there is anything frozen on the ground.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Speaking of which, I need someone to make me a new TCU for my arcade shifter.
Ya, stand in line, I talked to him/gave him a TCU to hack first.

Who cares about vendor status? Its just for me/us. Plus, you'll need one running and going on a rig before you start trying to sell them.
I do agree with this about the vendor status.

But I do get to say this: You don't need a shifter, your Jeep doesn't drive. Mine does.!.:D.!.

Ken, you don't need a roof... :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And you wonder why people give you crap?

:)
It's interesting, I've gotten less crap since I started this than I did while I was regularly working on my jeep

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I took a few pictures when I walked around Boston tonight. Doesn't look like a lot of snow, but it gets blown around pretty good in the city. Definitely different than back home.

Lucky (there is one branch that is less than an inch from the door)

Unlucky (The limb isn't attached to the tree, its supported by the car)

This would have looked a little better and in focus if a gust of wind hadn't come and blown the trees around.

Mark, nice shots!
Some of those photos have some neat effects.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dang Mark, I love the idea for the 2nd to last. Go back and re shoot it tomorrow! (if it still looks anything like that)

Now I know how most people feel when being told what is wrong with their car, or how electronics stuff works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbVY5teBzlg

Thanks.

I wanted to post this one before.

This one came out surprisingly well considering I was holding the camera and I didn't use the flash.

And I did get this one.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I still like the 2 rows of trees + statue the best. Go back with a tripod, set it to f/8 to f/11, iso 200-400, use the 2 sec timer so you don't shake it when you go to take it. I'd love to give that motif a shot. (get it?)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya I liked it too, was a little bumbed it didn't come out the way I wanted it. I'm going to see if my sis can work any magic with photoshop.

Tripod is at home on the cape, and so I used a little mini tripod, stuck in a snow bank, and the timer to get that one. I used the zoom lens I got off you, and I find it harder for some reason to get things in focus with it than the other lens. I think it stems from that time I tried cleaning my camera...
I want to do that internal focus thing you did with yours.

I wish I could go back, but I'll be at home on the cape tomorrow night. Way too far and tired to go back tonight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
