THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wouldnt pay a penny more then 7k for it, and i fail to see how he has 60k into it, no gas skid, no unibody plating and no cage

Its a bunch of expensive bolt on stuff and axles that were bought premade, I can see it being 40k in parts. That front bumper looks awesome but if you drop the ends on a couple rocks it bends at the bolt-together flanges... ask me (or jon) how I know!

The military does things screwy, the return lines for the fuel rail on the m54a2 are an inverse threaded compression fitting, I.e. the nut screws in like a regular inverted flare brake fitting but it uses compression rings instead of being flared.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Played golf today, with my mom, dad, and soon-to-be brother-in-law. highlights:

My dad did a fair job of cursing out the group in front of us before we even started; the starter guy let us start on #10 instead so we wouldn't have to deal with them.

My brother-in-law hit his ball right next to a group of vultures (read: like 6 or 7) that were chowing down on a dead rabbit. They didn't move.

I hit a house pretty hard and did not go find the ball. Pretty sure it was just the roof.

Among several 8 or 9s, I also par'd the first hole, birdied the second, par'd the first par 3, and birdied the last par 5. Wonderfully consistent.

We had fun. :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those were supposed to be temporary until i got some nicer ones, but they worked

anyway, im lookin to upgrade now and this site has what i want

yea those are mad nice its too bad they all mount either grommet (gasy) or a non standard flange.

truck-lite's LEDs bolt up and are flush with the flange.. meaning theyll sit behind the steel.. aka good for smashing and not getting brokeded

Not sure what 'gasy' is, but if you mean "instead of getting broken they just push in until you pop 'em back out again", that's correct. By that method I've been running the same ones for nearly 4 years.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rather than doing some other stuff like hook my shifter back up so I can get out of 4lo, and put flares back on so I can get an inspection tomorrow, I just made a sweet bracket for my OBA tank.

Fabrimacating is fun!

grommets wont work with jcr. too tight, and im too lazy to grind the holes bigger.

ill do some flange action this time around. and that site has the right flange patterns

and just so you dont waste your time. superbrightleds has the wrong flange pattern for the tails (not that drilling a couple holes is hard) and the 2" rounds are uber expensive

Adam, I put my winch on after you, and managed to go both wheeling and use my winch before you even hooked yours up. That is embarrassing on your behalf. :D

His bumper build time was way quicker. Hell, he even used the bumper he first decided on, not some ghey piece of junk that some dude made :D

So how long did that take you? 2 months? :D

The fitting on the old oil burner in my garage was that style.

I think the reason for doing things flareless was so that the line could be replaced with fewer tools

the best thing about the crappy tv show '1000 ways to die' is the hot chicks they use in every scene

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Man it started getting cold out by like 6...my hands were going numb.

I can't wait til Friday, I'm totally gonna replace my starter in 45*+ weather

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm gonna go out to my heated garage in a few.

Adam Richmond is at a restaraunt in AK that I almost went to. It's called Humpy's for anyone that's been to Anchorage.

I think the best benefit to being a 'celebrity' would be getting to travel so much for work.
