Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

rockwell centers for H1s, biohazard rock rings, LS1 parts, th400 4wd tranny. if you have any of that lying around i can add cash haha

oh also 32 spl input for the atlas and the adapter plate for the th400

next time you're in springfield let me know, my buddy has a 4wd th400 in his garage that hes looking to get rid of.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

every car that drives by my store going south bound seems to swerve into the parking lot across the street. one of my customers called me to tell me he saw 3 accidents within 5 minutes of leaving. it's snowing pretty good here, so...be careful out there fellas...the idiots are out. (of control)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Could you even spend $3500 on a D35...?
bring it to my shop/backyard, I will find a way for you to spend 3500 on it!

I know of at least one person who has spent 2300 plus gearing, but that was because he put 700 dollar disk brake conversions on it and then paid some mechanic 1600 bucks to replace it when the whole axle exploded. So technically, he paid 2300 for two d35s I guess. He still has a d35 in it, so I am betting that he'll hit 3500 in the next year... add in the gearing and throw a few sets of spare shafts, maybe alloys, and a replacement set of gears or so and bam, 3500!

Triple trussed, sleeved, retubed, widened, custom 30 splined double ended shafted, full floater D35. Cryo everything.
cryo EVERYTHING. Even the u-bolt plates.

Ross, any 27 spline stuff for that 8.25? I don't know if I need it yet, need to pop the cover on mine and figure out if it's 29 or 27... then weld it... I decided I wouldn't wheel it welded till I have spare shafts.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that and you have a million ft. lbs. of torque.

Hypothetically, if you blew the shaft of a welded C clip diff, how would you plan on removing the broken shaft? What's more, how would you install a new one (and keep it from coming back out)?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know this discussion happened a few pages ago, but what Anthony fails to realize is that its is NOT even close to being too late to just get a new shell.

I guarantee you'll be done faster if you stop working on your old one, spend time finding a new one, and build it from there.
Since Mark brought it back up, I'll double bring it back up. :confused1

Agreed. Or just give up and use nothing but the firewall and engine harness.

Huh?

You don't have to make an orb. You can just weld the spiders to the side gears and call it good.

Easy.

What Colin said.

And I'm triple responding to it.

:rattle: I really really really wanted to have working heat. Right now I still could. I'm going to make what I have work.

True. I've never welded spider gears, but I'd probably want to do more than just that. :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

All you have to do is leave enough room to get a c-clip in there and make sure the cross pin isn't welded to anything.

Other than that, close your eyes and pull the trigger.
